Fall Guys needs to add more unforgiving course like Slime Climb in the future, and move away from adding too many team rounds.

It has been a week since Fall Guys was released and took the world by storm, and those who have played already have their favorite and least favorite rounds.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was unleashed on the world last week and suffice to say, it has managed to take it by storm. It had 1.5 million new players on day one, two million people have bought it on Steam, and who knows how many people have picked it up for free on PS4? It almost feels as if everyone across those two platforms has at least given it a try, and has also voiced their opinion.

Most of those opinions come in the form of which of Fall Guys’ rounds are great, and which ones suck. See Saw has been receiving a lot of hate and trust us, we get it. Although an individual race where it’s every bean for itself, players need to rely on others not gathering at one end of each seesaw, throwing off the balance and sending everyone on it tumbling into oblivion.

Another round that has been receiving a lot of hate is Slime Climb. Slime Climb is one of many obstacle courses in Fall Guys. However, it is a lot more unforgiving than the others. That’s because if a player fails and falls into the slime, that’s it, game over. Most other courses in Fall Guys will have a different obstacle waiting beneath should a player fall into its depths, or simply take them back to a checkpoint, like in See Saw.

Our fear is that the backlash against unforgiving rounds like Slime Climb will lead to it being removed. If anything, when new rounds and courses are added, they should be more like Slime Climb. Rounds that require the undivided attention of the player, and don’t offer up a failsafe like a checkpoint or a safety net below. In most cases, those safety nets don’t even seem to cost those who fall into it that much time at all.

The trouble is, the appeal of Fall Guys is that anyone can play. Non-gamer family members coming over? Fire up Fall Guys. Need a game to play with your five-year-old? Fall Guys is there. With that in mind, it seems more likely that second chance course and team rounds will be added to the Fall Guys library in the coming weeks and months, and the likes of Slime Climb will fall by the wayside.
