Fans have been speculating about what’s going on with Fortnite since a mysterious black hole ended the game. Players that logged in were met with an error message and then sucked into a void. Turns out we didn’t have to wait long, thanks to a trailer leak for the next Battle Pass.“Chapter 2 – Season 1,” is going around.
The trailer was posted on the SkinTrackerCom Twitter account before being removed. Apparently Epic Games requested its removal. However, the video was already spread around and reposted multiple times.
The trailer falls in line with theories that the game will be getting a new map. As seen in the video, Fortnite will feature a number of completely new locations like a power plant, a river, and a fishing pond. It seems that players will be able to actually fish in bodies of water and drive boats as well. Swimming is also possible – we see a player jump into the water. There’s no telling if these actions will have certain restrictions.
Another interesting reveal is the additional ways to level up. Characters are shown getting achievements for actions like getting a headshot, finding treasure, even chopping down a tree and possibly fishing. It’ll be a treat to see just how many new ways that players can gain medals. Next up, we see a variety of new skins that will be added. There’s also a strange blue blob creature that high fives another player – this could possibly be a co-op emote. Furthermore, we see that other players can be carried. Lastly, players have the opportunity to earn 1500 V-bucks.
Popular streamers like Ninja have already voiced their support for what’s showcased in the leaked trailer. Ninja calls the game beautiful and notes that he’s excited for what’s to come. He’s definitely right – the game is even more colorful and eye-catching than ever. Other fans are also expressing their happiness with the leak, especially because some believed that Fortnite’s secrecy meant the end of the game forever.
There’s still no concrete information on when the new season will drop or if they’ll be any added extra that we haven’t seen in the trailer.
