Last week saw the release of the highly anticipated Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a compilation celebrating the franchise’s 35th anniversary.

Regardless how one feels about the limited availability of the collection, it is certainly good to have these classics back in the spotlight. The package contains Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. Each game contributed big things to the series. Super Mario 64 brought the quality of Super Mario Bros. into the 3D realm with critically acclaimed results. Super Mario Sunshine utilized unique water nozzle gameplay, and also introduced Bowser Jr. Super Mario Galaxy’s orchestrated soundtrack was a grand treat enhancing the acclaimed gameplay.

To celebrate the release of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Nintendo has shared a new wallpaper for My Nintendo awards. For 50 Platinum Points, you can download the game’s box art in wallpaper form for your computer and phone. There is also another wallpaper available if you prefer a different design. Check them out below.

If you’re looking to add a little Mario to your digital space, these wallpapers certainly do the job. The three games’ artwork are realized beautifully, making opening a computer or phone a nostalgia trip. Although not as new, there is also a wallpaper for both Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2. The Super Mario 3D All-Stars wallpapers are available for redemption until April 1, 2021.

While neat, it’s hard not to be disappointed with My Nintendo awards in North America. Back when it was Club Nintendo, the company offered not just digital awards, but also plenty of physical ones sent straight to your mailbox, including Mario posters. These Super Mario 3D All-Stars wallpapers would make for lovely physical pieces.

My Nintendo did make available physical rewards for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Splatoon 2, so hopefully that’s the start of something. Nintendo also unveiled a set of Mario 35th anniversary pins, but its limited availability turned into a bit of a fiasco. Scalpers are selling the pins now, with one eBay bidding war reaching $100. Hopefully there will be a second wave.

Nonetheless, the company continues to offer stunning digital wallpapers for its games. If interested in the Super Mario 3D All-Stars wallpapers, don’t hesitate to put those Platinum Points to use.
