The wait for the delayed Gotham Knights might not be as long as you think according to what appear to be leaked images from the game’s studio.

Despite coming out of a pandemic at the start of it, 2021 has been a pretty busy year for new video games and it is far from over. GTA’s remastered trilogy, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, and Halo Infinite are still to come, among other heavy hitters. It should also be noted that the tail end of this year could have been even busier had it not been for a few delays.

When first announced, both Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League were slated for 2021 launches. However, both have been pushed to 2022 with no firm release dates announced. That may have changed ever so slightly this week as promo images for the former appear to have narrowed down Gotham Knights’ potential launch window ever so slightly.

The promo images, which were spotted and shared by The Game Post, appear to have been posted by Jin Park. Park worked on the branding and art for Gotham Knights and the page that included the images seems to have been taken down. If accurate, it could mean Gotham Knights arrives as early as March 2022, if not shortly after that.

The latest trailer for Gotham Knights was showcased during last month’s DC Fandome. The Court of Owls was shown off for the first time and those who plan on picking up the game were given a better idea of the storyline Gotham Knights might follow. That especially applies to those of you who have read the comic books, but no potential spoilers here.

While 2021 has been a busy year, 2022 is set to be an even bigger one. What this year didn’t have was a busy start. Just Hitman 3, It Takes Two, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury when it comes to big games in the first few months. 2022 already has Elden Ring, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Horizon Forbidden West, Saints Row, and now maybe Gotham Knights too before we have even made it to April.
