Sony showed off a ton of games coming to the PS5 during its reveal event. Here’s everything mentioned.

Sony has finally pulled back the veil on titles coming to the PlayStation 5. In an event titled “The Future of Gaming,” millions got their first look at new and returning games that they’ll be playing on Sony’s latest box this holiday season. It wasn’t the best stream around, but you definitely won’t be hurting for exclusive content come the PS5’s launch.

If you’re looking for a quick recap of everything revealed, then you’ve come to the right place. A whopping 26 games were shown, even if one was a remake and another was a remaster. Still, that’s a hell of a lot of stuff you can “only” get on PS5.

Grand Theft Auto V

It wouldn’t be a modern console without some version of Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar kicked off the show by announcing that an “enhanced port” of GTA V would be hitting PS5 in 2021. In a cool bonus, an exclusive free version of Grand Theft Auto Online will be available for all PS5 owners for the first three months of its release.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Insomniac Games was up next with a quick teaser for Spider-Man: Miles Morales. We’re not sure if this is a sequel to the PS4 game, but it most certainly stars underdog Miles in the lead role.

Gran Turismo 7

After that, Polyphony Digital showed off footage of the next proper Gran Turismo game. Borrowing elements from Gran Turismo Sport, the most stunning thing on display was the quality of the visuals. This looks almost photorealistic.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

A highly rumored game to show up during this event, Insomniac had a sequel to its Ratchet & Clank reboot ready to go. It was one of the better trailers for showing actual gameplay off, which was rare today.

Project Athia

There isn’t much to say about this other than Square Enix is developing it, it uses the “Luminous Engine,” and it will supposedly be exclusive to PS5. Those cloth physics look a lot like Final Fantasy XV, though.

Stray

Another teaser reel of nothing, Stray was shown shortly after Athia and it seems…neat? I dig the soundtrack, but what even is this?

Returnal

That same question could be asked of Returnal, an action shooter of sorts in development from Guerrilla Games. It seems to be a mixture of Anthem and Death Stranding, but we didn’t really get a good grasp of what’s going on.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Sony isn’t quite ready to let go of LittleBigPlanet. This cutesy platforming adventure will star Sackboy in a co-op adventure that looks really similar to Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.

Destruction Allstars

I’m not sure I could come up with a fitting description, but Destruction Allstars has color. It’s a game about smashing cars together: what more do you need me to say?

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

The first game to actually get me excited, Kena: Bridge of Spirits looks to be cut from the cloth of classic PS2 era mascot platformers. We saw short glimpses of gameplay, but the story surrounding everything looks good.

Goodbye Volcano High

Possibly a visual novel of sorts, Goodbye Volcano High has you playing as a dinosaur in high school when the meteor crashes into Earth. Talk about a bizarrely compelling hook.

Oddworld: Soulstorm

At long last, Oddworld: Soulstorm has materialized. After years of uncertainty, it’s great to see that Abe will be returning. Not only that, but this trailer was absolutely amazing.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

Director Shinji Mikami might just have another hit on his hands. After a “reveal” at E3 last year, Ghostwire: Tokyo was shown off and it looks all kinds of crazy. I’m in love with the modern Tokyo setting, not to mention the weird demons.

JETT: The Far Shore

I’m going to be a little hypocritical here, but JETT: The Far Shore looks amazing. We honestly saw next to nothing that would even describe what this is, but it’s being made by Superbrothers. That’s the studio behind the incredible Sword and Sworcery EP, which you should absolutely play.

Godfall

Godfall’s gameplay trailer might be in the running for one of the worst trailers I’ve ever seen.

Solar Ash

Solar Ash is coming to us from the studio that made Hyper Light Drifter and it looks pretty similar. More of a third-person thing than top-down, I’m getting some heavy exploration vibes here.

Hitman III

Not necessarily a PS5 exclusive, but still a really cool trailer. Hitman III is scheduled for January 2021.

Astro’s Playroom

It’s nice to see that Astrobot isn’t being forgotten. This sequel/spin-off looks to dump the VR requirement, but keep all of the fun.

Little Devil Inside

I’m not exactly sure how to describe this, but I love the fact that Sony showed off a PS5 game that looks like it could run on a PS3. Little Devil Inside does appear to be very charming and it looks quite fun, at least.

NBA 2K21

It would be more surprising if a new NBA 2K game didn’t show up on PS5.

Bugsnax

Would you be surprised if I told you Bugsnax was made by the Octodad studio? Well, it is, and it had a pretty funny trailer. It’s hard to tell what, exactly, the game is, though.

Demon’s Souls

Probably the biggest surprise of the show, a complete Demon’s Souls remake is coming to PS5 courtesy of Bluepoint Games. The trailer doesn’t show too much, but it looks absolutely stellar.

Deathloop

Another reveal from E3 last year, we got our first proper look at Arkane Studios’ Deathloop. It certainly looks like Dishonored, which may or may not be a good thing.

Resident Evil Village

Those rumors surrounding Resident Evil 8 were true. This trailer is a pretty stark change from 7, so I’m not sure how I feel.

Pragmata

Coming to us from Capcom, Pragmata’s teaser showed literally nothing about what it is. We just know it’s coming in 2022.

Horizon Forbidden West

The big game everyone was looking forward to, Guerrilla Games ended the show with a reveal for Horizon Forbidden West. The visuals are absolutely stunning in this, but there doesn’t seem to be much different from the original.
