It’s time to bring glory to Arstotzka once again… kinda. The critically acclaimed Papers, Please is making its way to the PS Vita in a couple of weeks.

Publisher Limited Run Games is bringing the previously only digital title to physical form. Currently the game is available on most platforms digitally, and choosing the Vita leaves fans a bit skeptical.

The PS Vita has effectively died out in recent years. Now, with the release of the Vita’s most popular game Persona 4 Golden on PC, many have ditched the console entirely as there are hardly any compelling games in its library that aren’t available elsewhere.

Papers, Please on the other hand has won countless awards, and was ranked one of the top games of 2013, selling more than 1.8 million copies by 2016 despite being an indie title. It is safe to say that the game brings in a great deal of people, and has an extremely loyal fan base.

In Papers, Please the player takes control of an immigration officer in the dystopian country called Arstotzka. The game takes place at a boarder checkpoint, and the player must identify whether or not the people can enter the country. Reviewing passports and other documents is the main role of the game, but there are an ever growing list of rules that players have to be on top of.

There are many different endings and ways to play. With an entire morality system, and even having to pay bills to keep your family alive.

Limited Run Games is known for bringing many digital games to the physical market. As stated on their about page, “We focus on bringing digital-only games to a physical medium, but we also create definitive editions of games you know and love.”

Oddly enough though in the list of thirty games they posted that will be getting a physical release, Papers, Please is the only game going to the Vita. It’s a puzzling decision to be sure, but at least the oft-neglected Vita crowd will be getting a fun new game to add to their library.
