How tall is The Avengers star Mark Ruffalo? Following his screen debut in the “American Nuclear” episode of CBS Summerhouse, Mark Ruffalo’s first movie came with 1994 horror Mirror Mirror 2: Raven Dance, and he later returned as a different character for Mirror Mirror 3: The Voyeur. He appeared in an assortment of movies and shows during this era, including an episode of Due South, cult horror The Dentist and he co-wrote and played a role in 1996 indie The Destiny Of Marty Fine.

In 2000 Mark Ruffalo played a lead role in short-lived cop drama The Beat and won acclaim for his turn in the affecting drama You Can Count On Me. He later played supporting parts alongside Robert Redford and James Gandolfini in prison thriller The Last Castle and John Woo’s WWII action film Windtalkers. It was during filming of The Last Castle that Ruffalo had a dream that he had a brain tumor, and a CAT scan later revealed he had a mass behind his left ear. The tumor was benign but having it removed resulted in the actor losing the hearing in his left ear.

One of his Mark Ruffalo’s first roles following this operation was 2003’s erotic thriller In The Cut, and he went on to appear in a range of genres, including frothy comedy 13 Going On 30, drama Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and Michael Mann thriller Collateral. In 2007 he won more praise for his turn as a detective in David Fincher’s Zodiac – which led for calls for him to lead a Columbo reboot – and in 2010 he directed his only film to date with Sympathy For Delicious. According to CelebHeights, Mark Ruffalo stands at 5ft 7 ½.

Mark Ruffalo famously replaced Ed Norton in the role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk for 2012’s The Avengers. He quickly became the defining actor for the role on the big screen and returned in various MCU entries, with the most recent being 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Outside of the MCU, Ruffalo appeared in both entires of the Now You See Me franchise and the 2015 drama Spotlight, which won Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

Mark Ruffalo also received great critical notices for his turn in real-life thriller Foxcatcher and received a Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role nomination at the Oscars. He starred in another true-life thriller with 2019’s Dark Waters, playing attorney Robert Bilott and his legal battles with manufacturer DuPont. While the movie wasn’t a huge hit it received good reviews for both its performances and shining a light on the subject.
