Azumarill is one of the Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl that can only be obtained by evolving its previous form. Players can find and catch an Azurill or Marill, then level them up to obtain an Azumarill. Azurill and Marill have specific evolution requirements and spawn locations that players should know if they want to get Azumarill.
Marill can be found in the Great Marsh region or the Pokémon Trophy Garden in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Players hoping to catch Marill quickly should use surf in the Great Marsh because Marill spawns more often in the water than in the grass. In the Trophy Garden, Marill will randomly be chosen as the Daily Pokémon that’s available to catch there. Therefore, players will need to return each day to find Marill if they’re looking in the Trophy Garden.
Players can reach the Great Marsh Safari Zone by heading to Pastoria City. This city is also where the Trophy Garden is located, which can be found by going to the Pokémon Mansion. Marill is a Water-type Pokémon, so that it can be easily caught with a Net Ball. Once players capture a Marill, they will need to meet the level requirement to evolve it into Azumarill.

Marill will then evolve into Azumarill once it reaches level 18.
Azumarill is a powerful Water/Fairy-type Pokémon that can learn moves such as Super Power, Double Edge, and Hydro Pump. There are also a few unique abilities that Azumarill has: Huge Power, Thick Fat, and Sap Sipper.
