Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Kourtney Kardashian and her boyfriend, Travis Barker, have reacted to her sister Kim Kardashian’s roasting of their relationship during her Saturday Night Live hosting debut. Kim wowed the audience and television viewers with her starring performance. She kicked things off with an irrelevant monologue in which she made fun of herself, family members, and her estranged husband, Kanye West. In her monologue, Kim joked about her infamous tape with Ray J, her late father Robert Kardashian’s influence on her work in fighting racial injustice, and O.J. Simpson. Kim also shaded her sisters’ surgeries and stepmom Caitlyn Jenner and Kanye West’s failed political ambitions.
While Kim’s monologue was impressive in many ways and showed her funny side, she surprised many with her performances in the sketches. For instance, the mother of four danced and rapped alongside Cecily Strong, Ego Nwodim, and Punkie Johnson in “The Ladies Night” sketch. Kim’s dancing was surprising because she usually refrains from doing so for fear of embarrassing herself. Other sketches on the night included “Lotto Drawing,” “The Switch,” “The Dream Guy,” “Jasmine and Aladdin,” “Skims Commercial,” and “The People’s Kourt.” In “The People’s Kourt,” Kim portrayed her older sister Kourtney as a TV judge hearing several disputes between Kardashian-Jenner family members. Her mom Kris Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian made cameos in the sketch. Kim roasted Kourtney’s romance with Travis, who was portrayed by SNL cast member Mikey Day. The sketches drew laughs from the audience and generated comments on social media.
Kourtney and Travis have also reacted to Kim’s roasting of their relationship during SNL’s “The People’s Kourt.” An insider told E! News, “Kourtney and Travis loved it.” The source added that Kim wanted her jokes on the show to be a complete surprise to her family. Also, her family was game for any and all jokes and were very supportive of her. According to the source, none of Kim’s family members take themselves too seriously. They did not want her or the show to hold back any punches and thought she was hilarious and did a great job with her performance. Kourtney was not live at Kim’s SNL hosting debut because she had plans with Travis and her children. However, she gushed over Kim’s starring show on her Instagram Story by posting a video of herself watching the sketch. Kourtney lauded her younger sister’s performance by writing, “ahhhh! This is everything. You killed SNL.” In another post, she wrote, “PROUD SISTER!”
Besides Khloe and Kris, who starred in “The People’s Kourt,” Kanye and Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick attended Kim’s SNL taping. Another source revealed everyone was exceedingly impressed and happy for Kim. The insider said the reality television star has received much positive feedback and is very happy. Kim put so much into her preparation for her big hosting debut and worked incredibly hard to make it the best it could be. She was not alone in getting prepared as Kanye and her family supported her and were there for her throughout the week. The source concluded, “She [Kim] felt that she had everyone on her side rooting for her. She’s so glad that she had this experience and learned so much from it. It’s a week she will never forget.”
Kim’s incredible performance on her SNL hosting debut thrilled everyone who watched it and showed her teeming fans her hilarious side. It was great to see Kim looking very relaxed despite coming out of her shell. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star capped off her hard work and preparations with a delightful showing, and it is rewarding to see that her fans and family members enjoyed and loved her performance.
