Toward the end of Life Is Strange: True Colors, Alex barges into a Haven Council Meeting. She then reveals plenty of Typhon and Jed’s dirty secrets, including the latter’s attempt on her life. It’s a powerful speech from arguably Life is Strange’s best-ever character. But, not everyone in Haven believes her claims automatically.

In fact, Steph is the only one to back Alex up no matter what. Charlotte, Duckie, Eleanor, Pike, and Ryan will only lend their support if you did certain things or made certain decisions earlier in the game. So, here’s how to get them all on your side.

Gain Charlotte’s Support

In Chapter Three, you have the option of taking all of Charlotte’s anger away, and this choice heavily impacts whether she takes your side at the Council Meeting. If you want her support, you must leave her alone with her feelings. Alternatively, if you take away her anger, it guarantees that she won’t stand up for you in the meeting.

Allowing her to sign the affidavit in Chapter Two can also create problems, as she may not get involved to avoid legal troubles. However, even if she agrees to the settlement, you can still get her on your side if your relationship is strong enough. So, doing things like snitching on Ethan when he tries going to the mines or giving her useful advice on her son’s grief can help.

Gain Duckie’s Support

Duckie isn’t a character you talk to regularly during the game, but you can do two big things for the man. During Chapter One, fulfill his and Diane’s order, which means finding his whiskey in Gabe’s couch upstairs.

Then, later, during the Spring Festival, go to the Black Lantern to visit him. He’ll be sat alone thinking about his wife. Use Alex’s supernatural powers to cheer him up (and witness one of True Colors’ hidden plotlines in the process). By doing those things, Duckie will see you as an important member of the community and will be willing to believe your story about Typhon.

Gain Eleanor’s Support

With Eleanor, it’s all about trust. If she believes she can trust you, then she’ll take your side. The first thing to do to earn her confidence is to tell her about Gabe’s death in Chapter Two. It’s heartbreaking to see her reaction, but it’s for the best.

You also need to avoid informing Riley about Eleanor’s condition at any point in the game. So, if you talk to Riley before she leaves town during the Spring Fest, keep the news about her Nana’s problems to yourself.

Gain Pike’s Support

Getting Pike’s support is the easiest — if you know what you’re doing. After the Spring Festival, the officer will bring you in and question you about stealing from Diane. At the end of the conversation, you can either sign the affidavit he presents or take his fear away.

This time, messing with emotions is a good thing as, without fear, Pike isn’t scared to stand up to Typhon with you. Plus, he doesn’t need to be convinced to believe you as he already has the evidence of the mining company’s wrongdoing.

Gain Ryan’s Support

Ryan is a potential romance, one of your closest allies, and the first person to show you that there’s joy in Life Is Strange: True Colors. However, the Park Ranger is also the most difficult person to get on your side — which is understandable, as you’re accusing his father of attempted murder.

If you do both of the following things, Ryan is much more likely to support you:

  • Avoid Taking Away Charlotte’s Anger In Chapter Three This allows Ryan to be more involved during your investigation into Typhon as you don’t scare him and Steph off.
  • Get Everyone Else To Side With You — If he sees everyone else believe you at the Council Meeting, Ryan is more convinced that you’re telling the truth.

If one of these things goes awry, there are a few other ways to get him on your side. For instance, agreeing with him that you heard Gabe’s call, hugging him at the end of Chapter Two, choosing him to be the distraction for Diane, and romancing the guy all help you gain his trust.
