Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico of Married At First Sight are expecting another baby girl. The couple shared the sex of the second child in a video released on Thursday, September 17.
Petta and D’Amico have shared their love with the world after appearing on season five of Married at First Sight in 2016. The show follows new couples who meet as strangers before exchanging wedding vows on-air. While many couples don’t make it, there are a few that are able to stand the test of time. Petta and D’Amico are one of those couples. Despite skepticism, the couple stayed together, deepened their connection, and started a family. They welcomed their daughter Mila in January 2019 and announced their second pregnancy in July.
The couple used powder cannons to reveal their second baby’s gender, according to US Weekly. “Anthony is a nervous wreck,” Petta said in Married at First Sight: Couples Cam on Thursday, September 17. “I just want everything to go perfectly,” D’Amico added. “By perfectly, he means he wants a boy,” she said of her husband. Through the use of cameras and a drone, the couple showed off cannons that shot out a pink powder. They were joined by family and their 20-month-old daughter, Mila. “It’s a girl. I’m getting the hell out of here,” D’Amico playfully announced while running away from the reveal. “I’m gone. I’m dead.”
However, during his confessional, D’Amico expressed his joy with being a dad to another little girl. “I definitely was having a little bit of thoughts that I would like to see a blue cloud. However, I’m happy that it’s a girl. I’m gonna love the heck out of her.” It appears D’Amico is already planning for what’s to come as a father of two girls. “It’s gonna be awesome. Mila’s gonna have a cool little sister, and they’re gonna have fun, and they’re gonna bond, and they’re gonna share clothes, and they’re gonna chase guys and I’m gonna kill both of them,” he added.
Back in July, Petta took to Instagram to announce the big news to her fans and followers. “We are pregnant! 13 weeks and 2 days to be exact,” the Illinois native revealed. “I could not wait to reach my second trimester as it has been a very difficult road for us to get here. I thought by this point I would be able to breathe and enjoy this pregnancy, but unfortunately that has not been the case. I’ve been experiencing a lot of spotting and bleeding over the last 10 days. Several ultrasounds all check out and baby looks good.” The transparent couple have shared their joy with raising Mila. Fans will now get to see the beautiful growth of their family when Mila’s little sister arrives.
