The new item in the Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC can help Pokemon reach their Gigantamax forms faster. The Isle of Armor DLC that came out for Pokemon Sword and Shield introduces new functions to the game, one of which is the implementation of Max Mushrooms and Max Soups.

If a Pokemon has the capability of using the Gigantamax form, then feeding it the Max Soup will unlock the form for the Pokemon, even if they are just starter Pokemon in some cases. Max soup is going to be useful for players who want to wait for special events or skip a lot of grinding to unlock the form for their Pokemon.

When fans play through the Isle of Armor DLC and complete the second dojo trail, they will be given three Max Mushrooms to make one Max Soup for a Pokemon. Max Soups can be created by talking to the guy in the Pokemon Dojo Kitchen and bringing him the three Max Mushrooms.

After a certain point in the Isle of Armor story, Max Mushrooms will appear in specific locations for players who are wishing to use this for multiple Pokemon. Max Mushrooms will automatically respawn in the Courageous Cavern, the Forest of Focus, Brawler’s Cave, and Warm-Up Tunnel after participating in Max Raid Battles.

The best strategy is to go to the Tower of Darkness, then bike down to the Warm-Up Tunnel and check to see if any mushrooms have appeared there. If not, head back outside the circle of rocks by the entrance. Bring a lot of watts and wishing pieces to farm Max raid battles. Using Pokemon like Eternatus or Silvally will be useful to complete the three and four-star raid battles quickly in a short amount of turns, which should trigger the Max Mushrooms to respawn, as Max Mushrooms have a chance at spawning at one of the locations after a Max Raid battle.

The least time-consuming option is to keep checking the Warm-Up Tunnel instead of every location. After a while, players should have plenty of Max Mushrooms in their reserve to do with as they wish.
