Netflix is basically the perfect place for reality television to exist. Their format allows the audience to binge through an entire season of easy-to-consume antics. They’ve had a few reality TV hits but one of the biggest was 2020’s Too Hot To Handle. The show put a bunch of attractive contestants on an island together with the catch being that to win money, they couldn’t hook up.

The series was a blast and a second season is on the horizon. Due to that, it’s a great time to look back at the fame that some of the participants from the first season have attained, especially on Instagram.

For the most part, the people who started the show on episode one made it all the way until the end and were part of the winners. Sharron Townsend was one of them. His most notable role on the show was the romance he formed with Rhonda Paul almost immediately.

It looks like Sharron took his winnings and did good things. These days, he runs the “Today I Smiled Project,” which focuses on people doing a random act of kindness for strangers. Sharron also continues to work as a model, with some incredible photos dominating his page.

Lydia Clyma has one thing that makes her stick out from almost every other person who won season 1 of Too Hot To Handle. She didn’t start the show, only arriving in episode 6 which made her the latest entry to be a winner. She also formed a relationship with David Birtwistle.

Like some of her other good looking co-stars, Lydia seems to have taken up modeling. There are some downright gorgeous shots populated all throughout her page. She has also used her strong social media following to gain sponsorships with brands like Fashion Nova.

Basically the opposite of Lydia, Matthew Smith is one of only two people to start the show and not come out as a winner. Known by some as “Jesus” due to his long flowing hair and his trademark beard, Matthew was eliminated just before the finale alongside Kori Sampson despite being a fan favorite.

However, like Lydia, Matthew has been working with Fashion Nova. He’s also done some sponsored posts for Bang energy drink. Matthew has become good friends with fellow co-star Bryce Hirschberg, who recently cut his signature locks for him in a video on Instagram.

As noted, Kori Sampson just missed the cutoff to be a winner, going home in the penultimate episode. He immediately stood out when he showed up in episode 6 for his handsome looks and chiseled jawline. He made an impressive impact despite only being in two episodes.

These days, Kori has kept up his strong following with modeling shots and is yet another cast member to be an ambassador for Fashion Nova. He even created an e-book as a lifestyle guide to getting in better shape and eating healthier.

Nicole O’Brien was one of the most popular cast members on the show. She had an interesting run though, as she didn’t really hook up with anyone on the island. However, she ended up dating Bryce after the show ended for a time, though they split not too long after.

Followers of Nicole’s Instagram are treated to some great content. She obviously shares stunning pictures and videos but she has also branched out into a new career. Nicole has been making music under the stage name KOLE and she did some vlogs with fellow castmates for a time.

Coming in at just under the 1 million mark is David Birtwistle. He was another cast member who kicked off the show and stuck around until the end. David was immediately attracted to Lydia and the two ended the season as a couple but they’re no longer together.

Since the series ended, David has kept busy. His Instagram features many modeling shots but also a link to the other things he does. That includes a Cameo account and fat loss and fitness seminars, as he has found a fair amount of success as a coach. David founded Endeavour, which is all about online coaching.

Rhonda Paul is nearing that 1 million follower mark as well. She nearly had a fling with David but ultimately fell for Sharron. They had an intense bond throughout the season and ended things together. Alas, they broke up due to distance but apparently remain friends.

Meanwhile, Rhonda has been doing a lot since then. There are fantastic modeling photos like so many co-stars, but she also shares some of her life as a mother. On top of all of that, Rhonda is an entrepreneur, working with many companies and getting involved in several businesses.

The gorgeous Chloe Veitch is the first of three cast members to have more than 1 million followers. She was kind of the show’s unlucky in love cast member, as she was attracted to a few people but nothing ever really came of it. She was especially popular for her sense of humor.

Chloe has remained close to some of her castmates, namely Nicole. Her work as a model is notable but there’s a good chance that Chloe’s follower total is about to climb. She recently debuted as a member of the cast for season 2 of Netflix’s The Circle, which was a welcome surprise.

It feels like every reality TV show has at least a few people who go on to become notorious. For Too Hot To Handle, one of them was certainly Harry Jowsy. He almost instantly connected with Francesca, treated her poorly, and then they ended up together in the end anyway.

They even cost the cast more prize money than anyone else. Harry and Francesca had a high-profile romance after the show and got engaged but have since split. On Instagram, Harry poses for Fashion Nova and does a few other bits of modeling work.

Francesca Farago basically seemed like the perfect reality television star as soon as the show premiered. She had good looks, an entertaining attitude, and was at the center of drama almost immediately. After splitting with Harry, Francesca is now apparently dating the stunning Demi Sims.

Her online following is impressive and her Instagram is filled with some of the steamiest photos anywhere. Francesca is also active on TikTok, Cameo, and has an OnlyFans page. She recently started her own swimwear line using sustainable materials and that brand’s Instagram page has over 125,000 followers.
