Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will have at least six DLC fighters, and four of them have already been revealed – Piranha Plant from Super Mario Bros., Joker from Persona 5, Hero from the Dragon Quest series, and Banjo-Kazooie. There are two empty slots remaining in the Fighters Pass, and we now know which company that the fifth character belongs to.

The GameXplain YouTube channel has revealed that the webpage for the 4th DLC character in the Fighters Pass has been updated and now has a company trademark at the bottom of the page. The trademark also exists on the international versions of the DLC page, so it’s not a one-off mistake.

The page for the 4th character in the Fighters Pass has been updated with a trademark for the SNK Corporation. The image below is a screenshot taken of the Nintendo.co.uk version of the page, showing the trademark.

It seems that the fourth character in the Fighters Pass will be from an SNK game, which might disappoint fans who were hoping that the leaks concerning a rep from Doom, Minecraft, or Undertale were legit. The character would most likely come from The King of Fighters, Metal Slug, or Samurai Shodown series, with Terry Bogard being a strong candidate.

SNK has produced some amazing games over the years, but none of them have been as high-profile as the games that the other DLC characters have come from. A character like Terry or Mai from The King of Fighters isn’t on the same scale as a Cloud Strife or a Banjo-Kazooie, and it would seem strange to give one of the coveted DLC slots in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to them, but their presence in the game is currently all speculation as of the time of writing. There are rumors circulating about a Nintendo Direct in September and a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character reveal seems likely, so the fans might not have to wait long to learn more.
