Pokemon GO All Shadow Pokemon List

Pokemon GO’s latest update is currently rolling out and a Team Rocket infiltration is coming along with it. Newly introduced Team Rocket Grunts are leaving mysterious Shadow Pokemon around in their wake and it’s up to trainers in the mobile AR game to catch those creatures and find out if there’s any way to save them.

The new content likely won’t be live until the update is rolled out on all devices, but it sounds like a new wave of quests, items, and mechanics are about to go live in Pokemon GO. Recent datamines revealed how Shadow Pokemon will work, so players already have an idea about what’s in store. At this point, no Shadow Pokemon have been reported in the wild yet, but it’s not too early to start preparing.

Teardowns of the latest APK code offered a sneak peek at all of the Pokemon that can appear as Shadow Pokemon. We’re not sure if they’ll all be available as soon as the content goes lives, but the following list all are technically able to be Shadow Pokemon based on the game’s current code build…

Rattata

Raticate

Zubat

Golbat

Bulbasaur

Ivysaur

Venusaur

Charmander

Charmeleon

The new alignment mechanic is going to identify Pokemon as Shadow or Purified and players will soon be able to earn a new PoGO badge by hitting the streets and purifying as many of the Shadow creatures as possible. The code push will likely wrap up within the next few days, so hopefully trainers will be able to head out into the wild and start Purifying Pokemon this weekend.

Be sure to check back in the coming days for more Pokemon GO news, updates, and strategy guides. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is currently available in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
