Shadow Moltres will be joining Pokemon Go in the near future. This guide will show players how they can prepare for this upcoming event. Pokemon Go is introducing tons of new events to players in the month of May. Arguably the biggest addition coming to the game is the legendary Pokemon from Pokemon X and Y. Xerneas and Yveltal will be making their Pokemon Go debut as part of 5-star raid battles. Not only that, but a handful of Kalos Pokemon will also be making their debut in the game. Although, players will still want to take down Team Rocket for a chance to capture a Shadow Moltres. This guide will show players what they can do to encounter this Pokemon.

For the month of May, players will be able to battle Giovanni with a Shadow Moltres as part of its party. In the past, players have been able to battle him with his Shadow Mewtwo, Articuno, and Zapdos. Although, in order to find him, players will need to use a special item. Unlike normal Team Rocket Admins, Giovanni will not appear if the player uses a regular Rocket Radar. Rather, players will need to get a Super Rocket Radar. This guide will help players find Giovanni and Shadow Moltres.

How To Find (& Catch) Shadow Moltres in Pokemon Go

In order to find Giovanni, players will need to get a Super Rocket Radar. Currently, there are two different methods to obtain one.

• Complete The “The Higher They Fly” Special Research Task: If the player has already completed this, then they have already used this item before.
• Luminous Legends X Event: This event will begin on May 4th. During this event, players will be able to participate in a new Timed Research Task. Upon completing this task, players will be able to obtain a Super Rocker Radar. The task themselves have yet to be announced.

Once the player gets the radar, they can use it to battle Giovanni. Giovanni normally opens up his battles with Persian so make sure to bring along a Fighting-type to quickly bring it down. Shadow Moltres is the final Pokemon he will send it. Players also have the chance to find a Shiny Shadow Moltres since Shiny Moltres has remained in the game. Bring a Rock-type Pokemon with Rock-type moves to quickly take it out. All the player will have to do then is capture it and they have the option to purify it if they want to.
