Niantic is giving players a free Deino Hat to unlock in Pokémon Go. Currently, the game is hosting its Season of Heritage event. It’s an event that is directly tied to the upcoming release of Pokémon Legends Arceus, the newest Pokémon adventure that is scheduled to release this upcoming January. Since this is the beginning of the season, Niantic is proving players with a chance to unlock a free avatar item. These are items that trainers can equip to their avatar characters to give them more unique designs. The Season of Heritage is also offering players a chance to obtain a Shiny Deino.
The players can head into their game and scroll over to their Today tab. From December 1st to December 31st, players will need to collect enough Stardust to unlock the Deino Avatar Hat. There are two versions on the screen, one for each gender. Not only that, but players can scroll down and find another Stardust challenge that is broken up into 15 challenges. Completing each challenge will reward players with a new item.
To unlock the Deino Hat avatar item, players will need to earn 120,000 Stardust before the end of December. Stardust is a currency in Pokémon Go that can be used to level up a Pokémon. If players head into their Pokémon menu and select a Pokémon, they will be given the option to either Power Up the Pokémon or give them a new attack. Fortunately, the game provides several different ways to earn Stardust fast in Pokémon Go.
Earning Stardust in Pokémon Go For The Dieno Hat
For starters, players can earn more Stardust by using Star Pieces, this item is a small shard of a beautiful gem that earns the player 50% more Stardust for 30 minutes. To unlock this item, players can purchase them in the Shop, or complete Special Research tasks that reward them. Normally, players are given 100 Stardust for capturing a single Pokémon. With the multiplier from the Star Piece, players can earn 200 Stardust for each capture. Not only that, but a handful of Pokémon will give the player more Stardust if a weather boost is active.
When on the main screen in Pokémon Go, players can select the icon on the top-right corner of the screen. The icon will display the type of weather that is happening in the game. It often correlates with the weather happening in the real world. The weather will give a handful of Pokémon types boosts. For example, when the weather is Windy, Dragon, Flying, and Psychic will be given bonus Stardust when caught. Keep this in mind when capturing Pokémon. The best way to earn Stardust is to continue to play as often as possible.
