Grab your phone and head outside because Pokémon GO’s field research tasks and rewards have been updated. Flower crown-wearing Eevee are now up for grabs.

When Pokémon GO was first released all the way back in 2016, updates to the game were few and far between. That’s due to the fact that the world was so obsessed with the app that Niantic didn’t need to rush in with changes. As time has passed, and interest has dropped, updates have taken place a lot more frequently.

One of the most welcome additions to Pokémon GO was field research tasks and the rewards we get for completing them. Challenges of varying difficulty which trainers earn stamps for completing. Earn enough stamps and there will be a Pokémon waiting for you on the other side. From now until November 1, 2019, the reward for earning seven stamps will be an encounter with flower crown Eevee.

Hardened Pokémon GO players will know this isn’t the first time trainers have been tasked with catching Pokémon wearing special headwear. We have already seen Pikachu wearing a wealth of different hats. You might also know that should you evolve one of those special edition Pikachu, it will turn into a Raichu wearing that very same hat. The same applies to Eevee and its new flower crown.

That means we have some collecting to do over the next two months if we want all of Eevee’s flower-crown-wearing Eevee-loutions. Plus, there’s also the chance that the Eevee you encounter as a reward could be of the shiny variety. Don’t bank on it, though. According to LeekDuck, the chances of your Eevee being a shiny one is 1 in 450. That means you’ll have a lot of field research to do if you want shiny versions of every Eevee-loution.

The flower crown Eevee are out there waiting for you now and as we mentioned above, you have from now until 1 pm PDT on November 1, 2019, to get your hands on one. Or to get your hands on as many of the Eevee-loutions and shiny Eevee-loutions, if you’re lucky. After that, flower crown Eevee will be replaced with a different field research reward.
