Pokemon Legends: Arceus hasn’t even been around for a full month yet but for some of you, it will already feel as if you have been exploring Hisui for years. A whole new way to experience a Pokemon game that appears to have gone down so well that it seems almost an inevitability that we will be getting a lot more Pokemon games that follow the Arceus format, even if the graphics aren’t perfect and the game still has a few issues that need to be ironed out.

On the bright side, some of those lingering issues are actually a lot of fun. Take the one discovered and shared on Reddit by sausageandtea. The trainer is riding through the water on a Basculegion, performs a double jump, and suddenly the Pokemon rises up out of the water and ascends into the sky. Yes, Basculegion can fly, but it doesn’t appear as if this mechanic is an intentional one.

If you haven’t played Legends: Arceus, or you haven’t reached a point at which certain Pokemon aid you in various ways, Basculegion will help you cross bodies of water with ease. Sidenote if you haven’t reached that point, you can also cross water by building a bridge using Bibarel. That also appears to be a glitch so make the most of it while you still can.

When it comes to traveling through the air in Hisui, that job rests on the feathery shoulders of Braviary, not the scales of Basculegion. That reality appears to occur to Basculegion after it has ascended to a certain height. The clip above blacks out and the trainer finds themselves on the floor, wondering what on earth just happened. Understandable as they just ascended into the sky on a Pokemon that can’t fly. In fairness, they arrived in Hisui through a rift in the sky, so it shouldn’t be that hard to get their head around.

There are a few glitches still lurking in Legends: Arceus that aren’t quite as much fun as a flying Basculegion. The Cresselia problem, for example, which isn’t just a fun name for one of the game’s missions. It’s a bug that occurs if you catch Cresselia before you speak to Melli. Doing so will result in the NPC refusing to acknowledge it ever happened, thus preventing you from finishing the game, so beware.
