Much like other Pokemon titles, players will need items in order to evolve their team in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. There are several evolutions of different Pokemon that need something called a Peat Block in order to evolve, and finding one can be pretty difficult.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus Peat Block
The Peat Block is an item used solely for Pokemon evolutions in Arceus. Teddiursa will need a Peat Block in order to evolve into Ursaring, and Ursaring into Ursaluna. But there is a limit to when this can take place; with Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ weather and moon phases, players can only make these evolutions only during the full moon in the Crimson Mirelands. But first, they will need to find a Peat Block.
Finding Peat Blocks in Arceus
The best location to look for Peat Blocks is in the Crimson Mireland, close to where players can find Hearty Grains for Request 23. Players will need to use their Treasure Detector while riding an Ursaluna, looking for anything that flashes yellow in the area. Make sure to bring along a Pokemon that can dig up items, as players won’t be able to dig them up for themselves. There are plenty of items that players can get by digging in the Crimson Mirelands, so don’t expect a Peat Block to be the first thing dug up. Keep looking for new treasures with the Detector until a Peat Block is found.
Players will also earn a Peat Block for completing one of the many Requests in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. A single Peat Block is the reward for Request 86, called Gone Astray… in the Icelands. If players don’t want to ride out into the world on their Ursluna looking for treasure, or if they are already looking to complete this quest chain, it’s a fairy easy way to get a Peat Block.
Request 86, Gone Astray… in the Icelands
In order to complete Request 86, players need to talk to Zeke in Jubilife Village. He will say that Wanda is missing, then will head out to find her himself. Little does Zeke know that Wanda is safe and sound in town. Players will have to go out into the Alabaster Icelands to find the wandering worrier and bring him back home. Players will need to hop onto their Ursaluna and follow Zeke’s trail into the Icelands.
After defeating the alpha Glalie holding Zeke hostage, Wanda will give players several rewards:
- 1 Ice Stone
- 1 Peat Block
- 5 Star Pieces
