Pokémon Masters’ “Morty’s Secret Ghost Training” Event Has Started
Ghost-type Gym Leader Morty and the haunted balloon Drifblim are now part of the Pokémon Masters roster.

Pokemon Masters’ ever-growing roster of in-game events has witnessed yet another addition as the solo event ‘Morty’s Secret Ghost Training’ has landed, according to NintendoSoup. The timed challenge, which starts today, introduces the sync pair Morty and Drifblim to the game; the duo specializes in the Ghost-type and their challenge offers players to rake in some exclusive bonuses and rewards.
The event features multiple solo duels, including full force battles that enable players to acquire various items, menus, and power-ups in Pokemon Masters. In the event, the 5-star sync pair, Morty and his Ghost-type powerhouse Drifblim, pose a tough challenge. Drifblim is weak to electric but with cogent moves like ‘Shadow Ball’ and ‘Phantom Force’ at its disposal, it can easily overpower its foe. The notorious blimp pokemon also has a signature attack called ‘Pierce the Veil,’ which it can summon to boost its Attack, Special Attack and pervasiveness sharply, with the increase being greater if Drifblim is afflicted with a status condition.
While the event will continue through this month on the app, Pokemon Masters also offers its users the opportunity to obtain the A-listed Sync pair in the game. ‘Morty’s Spotlight Scout’ is also running simultaneously with the Secret Ghost Training event. And like all other scouting affairs in the game, this one will require you to give away your gems. Morty has the highest scouting chance among as compared to all other 5-star characters, that being 2%. The typical scouting chances of 5-star Sync pairs are listed at 0.2083%. This parameter, however, may be subject to sudden revision, as has been announced by the official Pokemon Masters website.
The new event extends an opportunity for players to net 100 gems each day for 13 consecutive days. There are, of course, some prerequisites for participating in the challenge. For players to be able to participate in ‘Morty’s Secret Ghost Training,’ they must complete the first two chapters of the main story, one of which also involves defeating Team Break. Moreover, players will only be able to claim gems, sync orbs, and medals if they do so within three days of completing a challenge. All login rewards, which are reset at 11 am every day, are sent to players’ Present Box. So, if players are already logged in, they must return to the Pokemon Center to claim their gifts.
Morty’s Secret Ghost Training is available in Pokemon Masters from 14th July – 27th July 2020.
