In most Pokemon video games, players obtain new Pokemon by catching them in Pokeballs. However, the recently released mobile and Nintendo Switch game Pokemon Quest is different, as players instead attract Pokemon to their base camp by cooking food that the Pokemon likes. So for players to maximize the number of Pokemon they can attract to base camp at a time, they will want to get as many cooking pots as possible.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any in-game method to obtaining more cooking pots in Pokemon Quest. Players can’t earn them by completing quests or challenges, but rather, they can only be obtained by spending real money. To do this, players first need to click on the Poke Mart icon in the top right corner of the screen, and then click on the Additional Content icon under the Member Service tab.
After they’ve connected to the real money store, players will have a choice between three Expedition Packs. Each of these Expedition Packs comes with new cooking pots, so players will have to buy them all if they want the most cooking pots possible. Right now the packs are the regular Expedition Pack ($4.99), the Great Expedition Pack ($9.99), and the Ultra Expedition Pack ($17.99), though all three packs can be obtained in a bundle for a discounted price of $29.99.
While some players may not be willing to spend real money to get more cooking pots, it’s worth pointing out that these packs come with some other extras as well. For their cash, players will also get unique decorations, more PM Tickets (the primary in-game currency in Pokemon Quest), and even some level 1 Pokemon with special moves. Whether or not these items are worth the price will be up for each player to decide for themselves.
It’s unfortunate that there is currently no way to get more cooking pots in Pokemon Quest without spending real money, but that could change in the future. If the quirky Pokemon spinoff with cube-like graphics proves popular enough, then fans can expect Game Freak and Nintendo to support it with regular content updates, which could potentially add more cooking pots to the game along with other features.
