The Galactic Ghost 094 Battle Pass for Pokémon Unite just introduced a couple of unlockable space-centric skins for Gengar and Lucario. A free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena developed by TiMi Studio, Pokémon Unite launched on Nintendo Switch this past July. The game at its core provides a pretty competent MOBA-style experience, one unsurprisingly replete with microtransactions that border on egregious by most accounts.

Pokémon Unite didn’t exactly release to rave reviews. Excessive in-game purchasing options hindered many a critic’s enjoyment of the overall package, though some also argued that Pokémon’s first stab at a MOBA failed to confidently take advantage of the brand’s strengths. TiMi Studio shows no sign of slowing its ongoing support for the online title, however. In fact, Pokémon Unite just expanded its reach by migrating to Android and iOS devices today, September 22. The advent of a new Battle Pass could work wonders for the game’s longevity, as well.

In addition to launching Pokémon Unite on mobile platforms, TiMi Studio also unleashed an all-new Battle Pass, Galactic Ghost 094. The latest Battle Pass, like its predecessor, features 90 levels with unique missions and rewards. Two rewards in the premium pass include “out-of-this-world Holowear” for Gengar and Lucario, both of whom now boast unlockable “Space Style” skins as seen in the above featured image. The Galactic Ghost 094 premium pass additionally packs in a “space-themed Trainer fashion item,” according to a Pokémon Unite blog post. The new battle pass should give Pokémon Unite players plenty of reasons to dive deeper into the Pokémon-branded MOBA experience. Of course, given that the content is new, full impressions of the latest additions have yet to make the rounds online.

Despite the initial mixed reception, Pokémon Unite is off to a pretty solid start on the Nintendo Switch. TiMi Studio and publisher The Pokémon Company confirmed as much a few days ago, upon confirming that Nintendo Switch players have downloaded Pokémon Unite an impressive nine million times to date. Suffice it to say, the recent mobile releases guarantee millions more will download the TiMi Studio-developed MOBA in the weeks and months ahead.
