The official lineup for PlayStation’s November 2021 PS Plus games includes six games in total, with two of the best-known being Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning and Knockout City. In celebration of PSVR’s fifth anniversary, PlayStation Plus is offering three additional VR games with the standard trio of monthly additions. In October, PS Plus let subscribers download golf sim PGA 2K21, multiplayer shooter Hell Let Loose, and fighting game Mortal Kombat X at no additional cost. Those October games are still available for download until November 1.

PS Plus has traditionally given games for free since its introduction in 2010. However, recent reports indicate the service could grow in conjunction with studio acquisitions by Sony. One such example is the anime streaming service Crunchyroll, which Sony bought for more than $1 billion. It’s since been rumored Sony could add Crunchyroll to PlayStation Plus, but the company hasn’t made any statements on the matter at the time of writing. However, Sony is currently testing an expansion of PlayStation Plus with the PS Plus Video Pass in Poland.

A new post on PlayStation Blog officially reveals the six games coming in November 2021’s PS Plus lineup: Knockout City, First Class Trouble, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning and PSVR games The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, and Until You Fall. Knockout City is a competitive multiplayer dodgeball game from EA, while social deduction game First Class Trouble was shown at the latest PlayStation State of Play. The last of the standard three-game offer is Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, a remaster of the original cult classic RPG. Ahead of the official Sony announcement, all three PS Plus November games leaked online in what’s becoming a regular occurrence.

Also named in the PS Plus leak was The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, the first of the bonus PSVR titles. In the licensed game, players navigate a zombified New Orleans in the Walking Dead universe while dealing with Walkers and untrustworthy humans. Accompanying it is Until You Fall, a roguelite with hordes of enemies and hack-and-slash gameplay. Finally, The Persistence by recently PlayStation-acquired Firesprite Studios rounds out the PSVR bonus games list, and it immerses the user in a spaceship infested with mutated crew members. Each of these six games will be available starting November 2. Availability for Knockout City, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning and First Class Trouble ends December 6, but the three bonus PSVR games will remain free to download for subscribers until January 3, 2022.

Despite suffering a recent and somewhat significant drop in subscribers, Sony is clearly still investing in PS Plus. The service’s free games can be hit or miss, but PlayStation’s track record in 2021 has been much better than previous years. The following year could be even better, with many delayed 2021 games set to release in 2022, some of which could come to PS Plus or PS Now sometime after launch.
