Nobody messes with a Bullfrog. Okay, we do. Especially when they pop up as a task in our Daily Challenges in Red Dead Online, but small fish and insects, beware! These unassuming but ravenous predators are always on the hunt. Here are the best locations to find American Bullfrog in Red Dead Redemption 2.
This carnivorous species is exclusive to the swamplands of Lemoyne. Bullfrogs appear most often in The Bluewater Marsh and the Bayou Nwa, though they keep to a small habit within Lemoyne’s Scarlett Meadows as well. You can lay out some Predator Bait if you’re having trouble locating them. We also suggest taking along a bow and plenty of Small Game arrows to up your chances of a perfect kill.
Bullfrog Location
Bluewater Marsh
The most abundant and widespread Bullfrog habitat stretches across the Bluewater Marsh. Naturally, the population grows denser as you near the different bodies of water, such as the Kamassa and Lannahechee Rivers and the marshlands around Lagras.
Bayou Nwa
The best area to search for Bullfrog within the Bayou Nwa is the stretch of the Kamassa River and surrounding land between Lakay, Saint Denis, and Calliga Hall. However, they can also be found near the Lannahechee River on the southernmost tip of Lemoyne, south of Calliga Hall.
Scarlett Meadows
You’ll likely have the best luck searching the banks around Mattock Pond or the Southfield Flats. There’s a much less significant Bullfrog population across the river in the Scarlett Meadows, but you may still have some luck around the various watering holes. You can try searching along the Kamassa River just above Ringneck Creek.
The Herptile meat you get from Bullfrogs can’t be seasoned, but you can eat it all the same. And managing to secure a perfect carcass will become a necessity if you wish to complete the “A Better World, A New Friend” Art Exhibition task in RDR2.
