The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Guidice is newly engaged to her boyfriend, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. The couple kept their relationship private before they announced they were dating in November 2020. Unlike the MTV stars, Teresa and Luis actually found love on the Jersey Shore. The Bravo star was walking with a friend while her now fiancé was running shirtless and approached her. Luis gave Teresa his business card and the rest is history.
The table-flipping Housewife made her relationship Instagram official in December 2020 with a caption claiming that Luis was the “best” thing to come out of the year. Teresa was previously in a 20-year marriage to Joe Guidice, with whom she shares her four children, Gia (20), Gabriella (17), Milania (15) and Audriana (12). The Guidice’s decided to end their marriage after they both went to prison for engaging in wire, bank, mail and bankruptcy fraud. Fans could see their interest in each other slowly deteriorate as the seasons went on but after they had to face their legal troubles, the marriage was doomed. Almost two months after their divorce was finalized, Teresa and Luis made their relationship public. Although not a lot of time passed between Teresa’s divorce being finalized and starting her relationship with Luis, there was no bad blood between Joe and the businessman. The Guidice gang, including Luis, met up in the Bahamas in March so that Joe and Luis had the opportunity to officially meet. Joe might have described the meet-up as “awkward” but the two men got along. The former Housewives husband even wished his ex-wife the best with Luis.
According to People, announced that Teresa and Luis are now engaged. Luis popped the big question on Thursday while on vacation at Porto Heli, Greece. The special night included rose petals, fireworks and close friends around. A source told People that, “It was absolutely exquisite.” “The choreographed fireworks display illuminated a ‘Marry Me’ sign as Louie got down on one knee. Teresa was completely surprised,” they continued. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum and Teresa’s best friend, Dina Manzo and her husband were also there to witness the intimate moment.

Teresa has yet to post on Instagram about the engagement, but her friends and family have congratulated her online. The Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga congratulated the pair on her Instagram story alongside The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Cynthia Bailey. According to the source, Teresa was completely in shock by the engagement. The engagement was an all-night celebration as the two couples partied until 5 am drinking endless champagne and enjoying fresh seafood.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star may have a hard exterior but has a pure heart, so it’s nice to see her in a healthy and loving engagement. She and Luis may have only been together for a little over a year but, as they say, when you know, you know. Hopefully, fans will get an inside look at Teresa’s future wedding on the show.
