With every rewatch, however, comes new findings from the series. Whether it’s an Easter egg that went unnoticed or the happenings in the background, Schitt’s Creek gets better with every rewatch. Fans have taken to Reddit to discuss the things they’ve found, hoping that other fans post the new things they’ve discovered about the series, as well.

10 A Slight Middle Finger Made By Moira Rose

It became clear in “Little Sister” that Moira and her sister Dee Dee weren’t close, especially since Moira hadn’t heard from her since they lost their riches. But when Dee Dee came to Schitt’s Creek to help the Roses out, she was anything but authentic. Instead, she simply showed up to be seen as the hero rather than just doing a good deed.

One fan on Reddit pointed out that as Dee Dee is speaking, Moira actually flips her sister the bird to show how annoyed she is with everything she’s is saying. Moira does it so quickly that it’s easy to miss.

9 Rose Apothecary’s Stained Glass

Rose Apothecary is a chic, locally sourced general store that has everything from crystals and toilet plungers to soaps. There’s even vegetables and fruits from local farms out front! But with so many things flooding the store — and with David’s facial expressions being so engrossing — the stained glass behind the cash register is often missed.

One fan pointed out that the art on the stained glass actually depicts male anatomy. Once viewers see it, it screams David and his interest in art.

8 A Realistic Couples Moment

One of the greatest parts of the show is the relationship between Johnny and Moira and their ups and downs feel mostly realistic. In one scene, Johnny and Moira are bickering and Moira pokes her head out of the bathroom to add her two cents.

However, there’s a reason why she’s poking her head out and not walking into the dining area with Johnny: she’s sitting on the toilet. It’s one of those subtle moments that a few savvy fans have noticed and it gives a closer look at their bond and how close they are.

7 A Background Actor Couldn’t Help But Giggle At Catherine O’Hara

Schitt’s Creek is so small that viewers feel like they themselves know everyone in town. But as is the case with every TV show, background actors are added to fill in the blank spaces while the actors are giving their dialog.

In one scene, Moira is talking to Twyla at Cafe Topical and if viewers look behind her, one fan realized that the background actor is actually breaking character and laughing at Catherine O’Hara as she says her line. To hide her face, the woman covers her mouth with a newspaper.

6 Alexis’s Lice Came Full Circle

When Alexis and Mutt start dating, the two talk about Alexis not knowing how to ride a bike. He notes that “most kids learn how to ride a bike,” but Alexis wasn’t like most kids. She noted that most kids also got lice in school but she never did.

Funny enough, one fan noted that in the episode ‘Stop Saying Lice!’ things came full circle for Alexis when she eventually got lice after attending high school.

5 Gwen & The Minister Have Been Together For Longer Than Fans Realized

Fans felt awful for Bob when his wife Gwen left him for another man. After all, he was one of the best supporting characters on the show. But Gwen didn’t move on with just any man — but Schitt’s Creek’s minister. She took the house and took his heart.

However, one fan noted that Gwen’s affair could have started far earlier than Bob ever realized. Way back in the first season, Gwen is seen cozying up to the minister as Bob sat a few feet away.

4 Moira Sleeps In A Vest

With most of the Roses’ lives revolving around the motel, viewers are very familiar with their day-to-day lives, in and out of bed. Moira has been seen in bed on numerous occasions — especially in the beginning when she’d rather be sleeping than living in her Schitt’s Creek reality.

One fan hilariously pointed out that Moira often sleeps in something that doesn’t look like sleepwear in the slightest, including long sleeves, a vest, and a brooch. It’s an unpopular opinion that Moira has a low-key style, but she could have easily worn her “pajamas” out in public and people would never know they were anything other than daytime clothes.

3 Albany Is David

When Alexis’s friend Klair stumbles into Schitt’s Creek, they’re shocked to run into each other in such random circumstances. Klair was a lot like Alexis in the way she spoke and dressed, but it was her friend Albany that one fan couldn’t ignore.

Klair kept degrading Albany behind her back and made fun of the fact that Albany was broke and that they didn’t want to hang out with her anymore because of it. In a lot of ways, Albany is another version of David. David also had friends use his likelihood and money but when he lost everything, his friends didn’t hang around. It would be upsetting for David if he and Stevie weren’t real friends, as she was his lifeline. Looking at it from this point of view, it’s easy to feel the pain David felt when his friends ditched him.

2 Stevie’s Face Says It All

Stevie acts as the audience in a way that she’s just as stunned by the Roses’ behavior as viewers are. Stevie’s quotes are some of the best in the series. She judges Moira’s fashion choices on a daily basis but nothing was like her genuine reaction when Moira came into the room in a gold-on-gold ensemble.

A savvy fan noticed that sitting in the background is a shocked Stevie with her jaw close to the floor. While Moira’s outfit was the star of the show, Stevie’s facial expression was even more entertaining.

1 The Under-The-Table Leg Kick

As viewers know, Moira didn’t want Alexis to be the main character in Schitt’s Creek’s version of Cabaret. Jocelyn, however, felt like they had no choice but to let her audition.

During the audition, Moira and Jocelyn were both equally mortified by Alexis’s so-called talent. Fans even caught Moira kicking Jocelyn under the table in a quick moment as a way to get the audition to stop! It was a classic Moira move because as much as she loved her daughter, she didn’t think Alexis had what it took to be the star.
