Fans watching Selling Sunset season 4 are curious to find out why Davina Potratz chose to quit the Oppenheim Group after season 3 was filmed. Ever since appearing on Netflix’s Selling Sunset season 1, Davina went from just being a real estate agent to becoming a reality TV star. As the seasons went on and drama unfolded, however, Davina became more of an antagonistic force as far as the storylines of Selling Sunset were concerned.

For one, Davina was regularly seen crashing with boss Jason Oppenheim over the selling of a particular property valued at $75 million by its owner. Davina insisted that there was still hope to sell this house, whereas Jason seemed almost embarrassed by what he considered a very overvalued property that he didn’t see being worth that much money. Davina was also heavily criticized for starting a nonsensical fight with Chrishell Stause over her divorce from This Is Us actor Justin Hartley.

With Davina once again appearing on Selling Sunset season 4, some fans are wondering what happened for her to even leave the Oppenheim Group in the first place. In an interview with People that followed the end of season 3, Davina revealed that her decision wasn’t personal at all. “It’s not that I wanted to leave,” Davina explained, “but I had a great opportunity. It was a purely business decision.” When asked how Jason felt about her leaving, Davina said: “He was sad but he absolutely understands.” It should be noted that Davina’s sudden departure from the O Group was initially perceived as her trying to distance herself from all the Selling Sunset drama that involved her.

After leaving the Oppenheim Group, Davina joined a rival real estate firm based in Beverly Hills known as Douglas Elliman. Nonetheless, Davina adamantly denied during interviews and on Selling Sunset season 4 that there was ever any bad blood between her and the Oppenheim Group as a company. She insisted that this decision was purely professional and maintained her desire to come back to the O Group as soon as her “business opportunity” with Douglas Elliman came to an end. Davina’s Selling Sunset co-stars weren’t exactly thrilled about the idea of her coming back to the firm, but Jason dealt with things in a very professional manner.

There’s a chance that the general perception of Davina on Selling Sunset will change following her stint in season 4. However, certain Selling Sunset viewers might have a hard time forgetting all of the shenanigans that were pulled in season 3. For now, fans will keep an eye out for new developments concerning Davina and her ongoing relationships with her fellow coworkers and costars. Time can heal most things, so there’s always a chance that Davina could turn things around and even become a fan-favorite over time.
