Netflix’s She-Ra and The Princesses of Power has ended after 5 eventful seasons. The show has been hailed for its wide representation of LGBTQ+ characters, with complex storylines and villains that are both full of depth and storylines that make them more human.

While some characters are good and some evil, they all have good and bad things about them. The main protagonist Adora and her best friend Glimmer are definitely two of the strongest and most powerful characters on the show, but who is the best?

10 Adora: She’s She-Ra

One of the reasons that Adora is the best character is because she is She-Ra. In the first episode, Adora comes across a magical sword that allows her to transform into the ancient super-human/warrior She-Ra. She has some great transformations throughout the show as she grapples with how to use her powers, and towards the end of season 5, Adora does some very awesome things as She-Ra.

9 Glimmer: She’s Queen Of Bright Moon

Glimmer has quite a rough journey throughout the show. She loses her mother and then has to take on the responsibility of being Queen, which isn’t an easy task at first because she realizes that it interferes with her friendships, particularly with Bow and Adora. Despite that and having to deal with the loss of her mother so quickly, she gets the hang of becoming a good ruler when she becomes Queen Glimmer.

8 Adora: She Doesn’t Lose Faith In Catra

The main conflict and relationship in She-Ra and The Princesses Of Power is between best friends-turned-enemies Adora and Catra. After Adora leaves the Horde to be She-Ra and abandons Catra in the process, the two have a lot of unresolved conflict between each other that carries the show. However, Adora doesn’t fully give up on her, and once Catra saves Glimmer from Horde Prime, she realizes that there’s still some good in her and Glimmer, Adora and Bow go back to rescue her.

7 Glimmer: Her Powers Are Limited

Despite Glimmer being extremely powerful, one of the great things about her character is that her powers are actually limited, especially in the first 3 seasons.

Glimmer can teleport, but not so far, and only a certain number of times before she has to recharge her powers. She isn’t at all invincible like She-Ra is for the most part.

6 Adora: She’s Clumsy

While Adora is a highly well trained Horde soldier turned ancient warrior and rebellion fighter, she is also extremely awkward and clumsy in some of the funniest moments of the show. From weirdly pronouncing words when she meets Bow’s dads, who think she’s a student, to trying to figure out her powers for the first time, Adora is just the right level of awkward for someone who is meant to be a disciplined warrior.

5 Glimmer: She’s Stubborn

Glimmer is an extremely stubborn character, especially after she becomes Queen and is therefore responsible for the whole of Bright Moon. She starts to go against the decisions of Bow and Adora, who also don’t really listen to her, and this has both good and bad consequences. It’s great that she is stubborn enough to know what’s best for Bright Moon, but she also activated the Heart of Etheria because of miscommunication.

4 Adora: She Defected The Horde

One of the great things about Adora is that she was able to leave the Horde in the first place. She grew up in the Fright Zone and knew nothing of the outside world except for the things that Shadow Weaver had taught her. Yet despite all this, she left everything that was familiar behind in order to help the rebellion and learn more about herself, something that characters like Catra and Scorpia only had the guts to do in later seasons.

3 Glimmer: She Matures Across Seasons

Most of the characters mature throughout each season, but Glimmer has one of the most significant transformations as a character.

Once she becomes Queen, she definitely comes across as more mature, and to go with that she has a brand new character design that is less childish and shows that Glimmer is absolutely an adult now.

2 Adora: She Doesn’t Give Up

Adora is faced with a lot of really tough challenges, and the admirable thing about her is that she just doesn’t give up. She loses her ability to turn into She-Ra, yet she still fights for the rebellion as Adora. Even then, she is willing to go to Horde Prime with no powers in order to save Catra.

1 Glimmer: She Gives People A Second Chance

The reason that Glimmer is the best character on She-Ra is that she is always willing to give people a second chance, even those who have continuously wronged her. The best example of this is Shadow Weaver, who betrayed her father and led the Horde for quite some time. She ends up becoming a mentor to her despite the fact she’s sort of evil.
