The new poster for the long awaited Sing 2 has been released. The new film will reportedly once again follow Buster Moon (Mathew McConaughey) and his other animal friends as they persuade a reclusive rock star to join the opening of a new show. The sequel film will be helmed by Sing director Garth Jennings, with co-director Christophe Lourdelet not returning.

The film’s latest poster has been released on the Sing 2 Twitter page. The image shows many of the main characters standing on a stage at a dazzling concert, in front of a massive cheering audience. While the characters have their backs to the viewer, many of them are recognizable from the original Sing movie. However, standing in the middle of the group is a brand new character. The poster sports the tagline, “Where will your dreams take you?” and promises to be in theatres this Christmas. Check it out below.

The poster also shows off an impressive cast list. Many fan-favorites from the original Sing are returning in addition to McConaughey’s Buster, including Reese Whitherspoon as Rosita, Scarlett Johansson as Ash, Taron Egerton as Johnny, and Nick Kroll as Gunter. However, the poster also promises to add new voices to the cast such as singer Halsey, Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Chelsea Peretti, and U2 frontman, Bono. Interestingly, the official Sing 2 tweet also states that the movie will be playing “only in theatres.” This indicates that, so far, Illumination Studios has no intention of opening the film on a streaming site as of yet, so it looks like fans will be able to catch Sing 2 in person this holiday season.
