A new fan poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home highlights the return of Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. The third Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland will focus on Peter Parker dealing with the aftermath of Mysterio revealing his secret identity. Doctor Strange is set to be Parker’s mentor in the movie, and the long-awaited Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer hinted at some of the villains the web-slinger will face this time around.

Prior to the trailer’s release, Jamie Foxx was cast as Electro, sparking rumors that Spider-Man: No Way Home would be a live-action Spider-Verse movie. Alfred Molina is also returning as Doc Ock from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2. Electro won’t be blue like he was in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but Molina did confirm his Doc Ock is the same version from the 2004 film. Several other villains have been rumored to be making an appearance, with Dafoe’s Green Goblin even being reported to be the movie’s main villain. While Dafoe wasn’t seen in the trailer like Molina was, his pumpkin bomb appeared, and his iconic laugh from 2002’s Spider-Man can be heard.

Now, a new fan poster from elilusionista.cl for the highly anticipated sequel hypes the introduction of the Green Goblin in the MCU. Along with Green Goblin’s cracked helmet, Doc Ock’s tentacles, Scorpion’s tail, Vulture’s wings, and Sandman’s arm can be seen in the poster. A second version of the poster then swaps out Scorpion’s stinger for the Lizard’s tail and Vulture’s wings for Rhino’s horn. Check out the artist’s original post below:

At this point, Dafoe has not been confirmed for Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the pumpkin bombs are the same design from Raimi’s era of Spider-Man at the laugh certainly sounds like Dafoe. Electro, Sandman, and the Lizard are also believed to be hidden in the trailer leading to rumors that the Sinister Six may finally end up on the big screen. This was briefly teased during the mid-credits scene of Spider-Man: Homecoming when Mac Gargan (Scorpion) asks Adrian Toomes in prison about Spider-Man’s real identity.

Sony tried launching the Sinister Six with Andrew Garfield’s films, but the poor reception of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 effectively scrapped future movies and paved the way for Spidey to join the MCU. The inclusion of villains from Tobey Maguire and Garfield’s movies will certainly be a selling point for Spider-Man: No Way Home; fans are more than ready to finally see a fully formed Sinister Six. On the other hand, bringing in so many villains, along with Doctor Strange and possibly even Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, could result in the movie feeling overstuffed like Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Including a multiverse version of Sinister Six members led by Dafoe’s Green Goblin could be an interesting plotline for Spider-Man: No Way Home; Marvel would just need to be careful how they tackle such an ambitious story.
