The latest trailer for Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League shows off the game’s bombastic combat, including King Shark himself eating his enemies. Along with King Shark, players will also have the chance to control Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, and Deadshot when Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League releases next year.
There has already been a lot of excitement surrounding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, despite the game not yet having a firm release date. On the game’s eventual launch fans will be able to take on the mantle of DC’s anti-heroes as part of a covert task force created by Amanda Walker. Throughout the game, this team of former Arkham Asylum inmates endeavour to kill members of the Justice League including Green Lantern, Flash, and Superman. However, this won’t prove to be an easy task, as the Justice League are a powerful group of adversaries, and that power has only been amplified thanks to their heinous brainwashing by Kill the Justice League’s Brainiac. The Suicide Squad may have an unexpected ally in all of the pandemonium, however, as Wonder Woman has also been shown fighting a corrupted Superman in previous Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League trailers.
The latest trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League debuted at The Game Awards 2021. This trailer, which was introduced by Captain Boomerang goading Barry Allen’s Flash, finally showed off some of the upcoming gameplay mechanics that fans can expect. The trailer highlighted the chaotic and fast-paced fighting prowess of the Suicide Squad’s members. Along with a diverse range of weapon attacks, which includes Deadshot sniping his targets from the sky above, other, more personal, attacks were also revealed. The video shows that Harley Quinn will be able to use her unrivalled gymnastic skills to get the upper hand against her assailants, while Suicide Squad’s King Shark will meet expectations and use his numerous razor-sharp teeth to eat his enemies. Given the huge success of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham trilogy, expectations for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are high. Thankfully, this latest gameplay reveal hasn’t disappointed fans, with early reception looking positive. The game’s combat looks incredibly slick and appears to make full use of the current generation of consoles’ capabilities. Meanwhile, the writing for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League already promises to give fans an engaging and amusing narrative to follow. Even when malevolent, Flash can still make quips with the best of them, mocking his would-be assailants for their failed attempts at killing him.
This trailer from The Game Awards has further heightened the anticipation surrounding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s launch, driving excitement for more on characters like the Suicide Squad game’s Harley Quinn. Hopefully, a firmer release date will be revealed soon.
