One of the best USA Network Originals to come out last decade, Suits, starring Patrick J. Adams (as Michael Ross) and Gabriel Macht (as Harvey Specter) gave the fans, arguably, its best season with the fourth one and they had a tough job of living up to the expectations with the fifth outing.

After Donna Paulson and Harvey’s split, it’s going to be interesting to see how New York’s best closer does with his trusted secretary, not by her side. Mike proposed Rachel but will his fraud come in the way of his personal life? Without further ado, let’s rank every episode from the fifth season of Suits, according to IMDb.

10 “Denial” (9.0)

The first episode of season 5 brings Harvey under the scanner, thanks to his mental health becoming worse by day after Donna left him to work for Louis.

He is suffering from panic attacks, which, again, goes to show Donna’s importance in Harvey’s life. Louis is absolutely delighted to have Donna, though, although he thinks this wouldn’t last long. Meanwhile, Mike and Rachel wonder how they will break their “they are going to marry” news.

9 “No Puedo Hacerlo” (9.1)

In the fourth episode of season 5, Harvey is in focus, again, only this time, it’s Louis’ sister, Esther, who is a successful businesswoman and wants to hire Harvey for a divorce settlement case.

Elsewhere, Mike teams with Rachel’s father, Robert Zane, as both them learn some new things about each other while gunning for the victory. It’s another solid episode of character development

8 “Live To Fight…” (9.1)

In the twelfth episode of season 5, it’s all hectic as Harvey, Louis, and Jessica must find out exactly what Antia Gibbs knows about Mike’s fraud. Turns out, she was tipped by Sheila Sazs, who decided to dig into the files after seeing Mike’s promotion to Junior Partner.

While it’s a damning reveal, Louis and Harvey have no time to get emotional, as Anita isn’t just going after Mike, she has her eyes set on Jessica and Harvey as well.

7 “Mea Culpa” (9.2)

In the eighth episode of season 5, Mike is promoted to Junior Partner from Junior Associate but that could be a problem because of his fraud. Rachel recognizes this and she is worried sick about her soon to be husband.

Jessica has to find a way to deflate the rising tension between Esther and Louis, which means Donna is dragged in the middle of the two boys fighting like kids. Also, Daniel Hardman and Jack continue to fish for weaknesses in Pearson Specter Litt.

6 “Hitting Home” (9.4)

In the seventh episode of season 5, Mike has to do something he doesn’t want to. That is, he has to team up with Jack Soloff to handle a case but their history together suggests that might not happen.

Harvey and Donna begin to rekindle their friendship, in order to get back to the old days, while Esther returns to Pearson Specter Litt. This time, she has some family matters with Louis to discuss. A lot can be learned about Louis through this episode.

5 “Blowback” (9.4)

In the eleventh episode of season 5, it’s all about Mike and his arrest, with a fearsome prosecutor Anita Gibbs looking to bury Harvey, by making Mike turn on him. But that’s not going to be the case.

If anything, Mike is loyal to the people he cares about, so not anyone could make him snitch on Harvey. This means Jessica, Rachel, Louis, and Harvey need to come up with a strategy to get Mike out of the precarious situation.

4 “Self Defense” (9.4)

In the fourteenth episode of season 5, some old wounds are opened for Mike, as Trevor testifies against him but thanks to Harvey, he, in the end, looked bad. Also, as the trial nears, Mike wants to represent himself but Harvey doesn’t allow that.

So, Jessica, like always, tries to negate the situation by throwing a mock trial, pitting Harvey against Mike. What followed is a series of intense scenes that are breathtaking to watch.

3 “25th Hour” (9.4)

In the season 5 finale, Mike pleads guilty to the charges and faces two years in prison. While Harvey isn’t happy with what he did, Mike tells him that it is a crime he committed, so why should anyone else suffer because of his stupidity.

It’s a climax that has everything. Emotionally, every single minute of the action touches the viewers’ hearts. And to add to that, Mike should have never taken the deal because the verdict was going to be not guilty.

2 “Tick Tock” (9.6)

The penultimate episode of season 5 circles around Mike’s trial and his ability to convince the jury that while he is a fraud, he, as a lawyer, has helped a lot of people and if he’s given a chance, he would continue to do so.

Meanwhile, Louis does something, which the viewers would call betrayal as he records Harvey saying Mike is a fraud. He intends to use that to get himself off the hook, but Louis changes his mind every second.

1 “Faith” (9.8)

The tenth episode of season 5 is an absolute pleasure to watch. From the start, the episode teases to be something incredible. Harvey and Mike resign from the firm, thanks to an unprecedented situation showing up, while Jessica and Louis have to save Pearson Specter Litt from Daniel and Jack, as the latter two are trying to take over the firm.

The end of the episode is what makes it so good; Mike is arrested by two Federal Agents for conspiracy to fraud.
