Tekken 7 is leading the charge of some new games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month. Earlier this morning, Microsoft unveiled a couple of titles coming to the subscription service alongside a host of new Xbox Game Pass Quests. Along with Bandai Namco’s 2017 sequel, Frostpunk and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will be coming to the console side of the service. PC users will see FTL and Frostpunk.

This is in addition to Grand Theft Auto V that landed last week. It is a pretty solid month for subscribers, all things considered. Minus Sword Art Online, these games have been well received by both critics and fans alike. Tekken, in particular, is still receiving DLC characters and looks to be doing so well into 2020. That being said, there is no mention if this Game Pass version will contain all of the bonus fighters.

Xbox Game Pass For Console

  • Tekken 7 (January 16)
  • Frostpunk: Console Edition (January 9)
  • Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet (January 9)

Xbox Game Pass For PC

  • Frostpunk
  • FTL: Faster Than Light

As for what games will be leaving the service this month, it looks like only Just Cause 3 and LEGO City Undercover will be bowing out. Those aren’t the biggest of loses considering both games weren’t that well-received upon release. LEGO City originated as a Wii U game and Just Cause peaked with its second installment, so you’re not missing out on anything special.

The aforementioned “Game Pass Quests” are a fun little side activity Microsoft gives subscribers. I’m not exactly sure what the points tally up to, but each quest refers to some particular game currently available on the service. Capitalizing on the recent Witcher craze, a quest tasks players with unlocking two achievements in The Witcher 3 for 200 points.

Others nudge players toward trying new games and playing on PC. It’s mainly a way to get gamers to enjoy the entire breadth of what Game Pass has on offer, which is pretty substantial. With over 200 games available for consoles online, Game Pass has slowly become a killer deal for any Xbox One owner. The PC side isn’t too shabby, either.
