Activision Reportedly Took Years To Fire Someone Who Signed Off With “1-800-ALLCOCK”

Let’s start off with the worst news first – according to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal podcast, an Activision employee was kept at the studio for years, despite signing off his emails with “1-800-ALLCOCK”. The report alleges that the employee was only recently fired after a month-long investigation and that they were only called out on their behaviour by Activision sometime in the summer. It’s yet another blow in the studio’s credibility amidst allegations of sexual harassment brought about by a “frat-boy culture”.

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 Is “Very Unlikely” According To Insider

On to some garden variety bad news in gaming – although that depends how you feel about EA’s Battlefront games. According to industry insider Tom Henderson, EA denied a pitch from DICE to make Battlefront 3, stating that it’s not worth the extra licensing costs on top of development. According to Henderson, it “takes 20% more sales to make the same money”, so it’s not worth it in EA’s eyes. Considering Battlefront 2’s comeback story, this is a real shame to see.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Developer Admits The Game Had A “Rough Launch”

Okay, let’s move on to slightly less sad news. Thaddeus Crews, character designer and programmer for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, has admitted on Discord that the game had a “rough launch”, in response to worries from fans that development has halted. Crews says that he’s thankful that there’s no chance of that happening, and that the team is just playing “catch-up” at the moment. It’s looking like All-Star’s story isn’t over just yet.
