An Eorzean Dennis Rodman would be ecstatic about the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.2, as it will remove the gender restrictions on the clothing worn during the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, which is the game’s equivalent to a wedding ceremony.

MMORPGs often give people an outlet to live out their romantic fantasies, which can sometimes blossom into fictional relationships and real ones. The people who fall in love with each other’s characters in Final Fantasy XIV have the opportunity to show their devotion to each other through the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, which is a wedding that takes place between two people in Eorzea.

It’s possible for people of any gender or race to get married during the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, but the outfits given out during the event were tied to gender. Male characters wore suits, while female characters had a selection of ornate gowns. This will no longer be the case in the 5.2 patch, as the preliminary patch notes have revealed that the wedding outfits can soon be worn by anyone. This means that male characters can wear a wedding dress and women can wear a suit as they walk down the aisle.

Final Fantasy XIV is a game that has resulted in real-life relationships, as players have found love among the denizens of Eorzea. Some couples have even traded in their in-game ceremonies for real-life marriages. The latest patch update can give even more choices for brides and grooms to make their special day as best as it can possibly be.

There has been a lot of discourse surrounding the clothing options in Final Fantasy XIV, most notably when the Nier outfit gave people a more shapely butt. The developers of Final Fantasy XIV have kept a general body size in order to make it easier to design clothes for the game, but it’s clear that fans want more options for the appearance of their character. We hope that this new update leads to even more clothing options for players in the future.

The 5.2 patch for Final Fantasy XIV will be released on February 18, 2020.
