Actor and comedian Eugene Cordero has had many roles in movies and TV shows, and it turns out he’s the only actor with an appearance in four of NBC’s hit sitcoms: The Office, Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place. The shows have seen some overlap with actors in recurring roles, such as Rashida Jones playing Karen Filipelli on The Office and Ann Perkins on Parks & Recreation, but Cordero is the only one thus far to have played a part in all four. While The Office, Parks & Recreation, and The Good Place are no longer airing any new seasons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s eighth and final season is set to premiere in August.

After beginning his acting career with minor roles in television shows and shorts, Cordero went on to appear in comedies like Drunk History, Silicon Valley, Other Space, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. He lent his voice acting skills to series such as Bob’s Burgers, Steven Universe, and Star Trek: Lower Decks. Outside of television, Cordero also had roles in films such as Ghostbusters (2016) and Kong: Skull Island. Recently, he was a series regular in the first season of Loki as TVA receptionist Casey and had an appearance in The Mandalorian.

Cordero’s involvement in the four sitcoms ranges from minor characters to holding one spot as a series regular. In The Office, Cordero shows up in “The Search,” the fifteenth episode of season 7. Michael Scott (Steve Carell) was left stranded at a gas station after Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) had to leave after his daughter Cece got locked inside a car, and Cordero played the attendant there at the gas station. Cordero’s role in Parks and Recreation finds him as Minister Xorpaxx-7 who leads the funeral for Jerry Gergich (Jim O’Heir) during the sitcom’s series finale.

Cordero also appeared as a hacker with the nickname “Pandemic” during the last episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 4. He tried to help Terry (Terry Crews) and Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) clear the charges for the robbery that Jake (Andy Samberg) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) had been framed for doing. For The Good Place, Cordero had the opportunity to play a recurring role as the character Steven “Pillboi” Peleaz from season 1, episode 4 through the show’s finale. Pillboi is Jason’s (Manny Jacinto) best friend, and Jason helps encourage him to abandon a life of crime in order to get into the Good Place.

Although Cordero was the only actor with on-screen appearances in all four shows, he wasn’t the only one involved in each of them. Michael Schur wrote, produced and had a small role as Mose Schrute in several episodes of The Office, and he also created The Good Place and co-created Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. His sitcoms have been consistently praised for being good-hearted and optimistic. While Ben Harris also had acting minor roles in The Office and The Good Place, he worked as a casting associate for Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
