The Witcher: Monster Slayer’s developers have struck a fairly healthy balance of implementing microtransactions into a free-to-play title. That’s in part due to the in-game shop predominately stocking items valued in the game’s Gold Coin currency. Though, as we know, coins don’t always come easily in the Witcher profession.

The shop consists of three primary sections: Main, Alchemy, and Equipment. Read on for a rundown of the shop’s wares, pricing, and the best deals to be had.

Main Section

The shop will open automatically to the Main tab, which offers bundles and daily deals towards the top of the page. The Main tab is also where you will find Booster Scrolls, inventory expansions, and more.

Starter Pack

The first sale you’ll be met with is the offer for a Starter Pack. At the cost of $4.99, this bundle comes with the salesman’s guarantee of being stuffed full of essentials for a promising start on the path.

Incidentally, this is the only way to obtain a silver sword early on. While it’s a pretty low-ball move on the dev’s part to lock a Witcher’s right hand behind microtransactions, this is a great deal if you are going to invest any of your personal earnings into the game.

As a comparison, the cheapest silver swords available in the shop are worth roughly $5 on their own. With that pricey bottom line, knabbing a Silver Sword along with a cornucopia of other incredibly useful Witcher tools for the same price is a total steal.

Daily Deals

Daily deals are typically focused on restocking your collection of Witcher potions and other alchemical items of the trade, such as oils and bombs. Generally, the featured items will be marked down by 50%.

Boosters

Boosters are a mechanic to allow Witchers to play on a more stationary basis. At the very bottom of the Main tab, you will find the currency exchange to buy Gold Coin bundles with your modern currency. Honest Witcher’s work is plentiful, but the payouts are lackluster, so you may very well want to trade some currency to get yourself started down the right path.

Alchemy Section
