The show starts off with the biggest news of the week – the latest Nintendo Direct. Eric Switzer is joined by Andrea Shearon, Dave Aubrey, and George Foster to discuss some of the biggest reveals of the show, including the fantastic-looking Kirby and the Forgotten Land, long-awaited Bayonetta 3, and the confusing announcement of an expansion pack to an online service. Oh, Nintendo.
But really, does any of that matter when Chris Pratt is voicing Mario? That’s right, the crew has some pretty spicy reactions to one of the weirdest announcements of 2021. You’ll have to listen to find out who gets a thumbs up and who gets sworn off, but we’ll give you the first one for free – Chris Pratt is a bad choice.
The next segment of the show focuses on some recent games that the team has been playing. We open with Stacey Henley talking about EA’s big kickabout simulator, FIFA 22. She’s pretty positive about the new Hypermotion features overall and can recommend it as a fan of FIFA.
Next, we have George Foster talking about Hot Wheels Unleashed, an arcade racer that he found a lot of fun, with some small issues here and there. Finally, Eric and Issy van der Velde try to explain Lemnis Gate to George and Stacey. Even if they can’t explain it too well, their impressions are very positive.
Finally, we have Cian Maher joining the show to talk about the second season of Pokemon Unite and all of the additions it’s bringing. Cian and Eric also find time to discuss the latest Pokemon Legends: Arceus trailer.
