This Pokémon Fan Artist Predicted Galarian Slowbro

The Galarian form of Slowbro was first introduced to Pokémon trainers last week, but one fan predicted what it was going to look like a while ago.

Not only did the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield introduce trainers to a whole new region, Galar, but also some new forms of familiar Pokémon. Galarian forms of Weezing, Meowth, and Zigzagoon, among others. However, perhaps the most intriguing, and the rarest of all, is a Galarian form of Gen I Pokémon, Slowpoke.

As per usual, there was an explanation as to why Galarian Slowpoke looks different from its Kanto counterpart. The Galarica seeds its ancestors used to feast on have led its head and tail to turn yellow. As for its rarity, there’s only one place to find Galarian Slowpoke on Sword and Shield. Wedgehurst Station. Either Klara or Avery will be there waiting for you to bestow Slowpoke upon you as a gift.

As of right now, there is no way to evolve the Galar form of Slowpoke. That’s due to the fact Galarian Slowbro was only revealed last week, and will not be added to the games until the Isle of Armor DLC is released later this month. When Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro, its yellow tinges will turn purple. Plus, the Shellder that can usually be found on it tail will be on its arm.

Interesting stuff, and a predictable look for one Redditor in particular. FunHaversClub took the slightest hint of a tease at what Galarian Slowbro might look like back when Slowpoke was revealed and ran with it. All they had to go on was the purple hand and the purple tinge on the tip of its tail. As can be seen above, the Redditor’s design was almost spot on, even predicting that the Sheller would be clamped to the Pokémon’s hand.

The only major difference between the predicted Slowbro and the actual one is the shape of the purple marking on its head. The accuracy of the prediction has got us excited for the reveal of Galarian Slowking, as the one drawn up by FunHaversClub looks pretty awesome. Chances are trainers will have to wait for the release of the Crown Tundra DLC later this yeat to find out how accurate that prediction is, though.
