Although there are movies that remain solely in the cinemas for Halloween, traveling to the theater isn’t the only way to see all the newly released horror films this year. Halloween Kills – Theatrical Release and Peacock

The next chapter of Blumhouse’s and director David Gordon Green’s newly updated Halloween movie saga sees Michael go on more of a rampage against the town of Haddonfield than ever before, with appearances from Jamie Lee Curtis, Anthony Michael Hall, and Judy Greer.

Last Night In Soho – Theatrical Release

Edgar Wright is an oft-cited favorite director of genre fans, and Last Night in Soho marks his first venture into a full-on psychological thriller. The giallo-inspired story sees a young fashion designer (Thomasin McKenzie) mysteriously connected to a sixties-era nightclub singer (Anya Taylor-Joy).

Antlers – Theatrical Release

The Guillermo del Toro-produced creature feature Antlers follows a schoolteacher (Keri Russell) and a police officer (Jesse Plemons), as they investigate what looks to be a very real case of the Native American folkloric Wendigo monsters.

The Addams Family 2 – Theatrical Release and VOD

The sequel to the 2019 animated interpretation of Charles Addams’ beloved and much-adapted New Yorker cartoon has the iconic macabre household go on a family road trip and wrestle with mad scientist Cyrus Strange (Bill Hader).

Night Teeth – Netflix

Netflix reimagines vampires as hip, sexy denizens of the Los Angeles nightlife scene, as a gig driver (Jorge Lendeborg, Jr.) unwittingly picks up club-hopping nocturnal bloodsuckers. Night Teeth stars Alfie Allen, Megan Fox, and Sydney Sweeney as vampire crime lords.

Hypnotic – Netflix

Kate Siegel, who recently starred in Netflix’s Midnight Mass, returns to the streaming platform to play a depressed woman unfortunate enough to end up under the guidance of a malevolent hypnotherapist (Jason O’Mara).

Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight Part 2 – Netflix

The sequel to last year’s Polish slasher movie garnered enough viewers to warrant a sequel, in which the survivors from the first movie and a cop must deal with the ongoing bloody mess.

Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin – Paramount+

The Paranormal Activity series hasn’t had an installment since The Ghost Dimension in 2015, but Paramount+ is unveiling the seventh entry in the not-quite-dead-yet franchise. The film is presented as a documentary about a woman (Emily Bader) who goes to connect with her long-lost Amish family only to find evil forces at work.

V/H/S 94 -Shudder

The fourth entry in the found-footage V/H/S series presents a selection of videotapes found in a disturbing cult compound. The short films are each the product of different horror filmmakers, including Simon Barrett and Timo Tjahjanto returning from previous V/H/S films and newcomers Chloe Okuno, Jennifer Reeder, and Ryan Prows.

Horror Noire – Shudder

Shudder’s critically acclaimed 2019 documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror explored the complicated role of African-Americans within the horror genre. Now, the streaming platform presents a six-film anthology displaying the works of black horror filmmakers.

Muppets Haunted Mansion – Disney+

The Muppets are back in their first ever Halloween special, as the Great Gonzo tests his nerves by spending a night in the titular haunted mansion. Guest stars include Will Arnett, Taraji P. Henson, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
