The sprawling landscape and small-town charm seen in The Bradshaw Bunch provides a glimpse into life in Thackerville, Oklahoma, where former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw and his family currently reside.

The 72-year-old Louisiana native has worn many helmets in his career as a sports analyst for Fox NFL Sunday and as an actor in films and television, but the sports legend is best known as one of the greatest football players of all time. According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Bradshaw’s NFL career began when he was the first player selected in the 1970 National Football League Draft. He led the Pittsburgh Steelers to eight AFC Central championships and four Super Bowl titles in a six-year period from 1974 to 1979. Bradshaw was named the Most Valuable Player in both Super Bowl XIII in a 35-31 win over Dallas and Super Bowl XIV in a 31-19 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

However, fans are seeing the football icon in a whole new light on The Bradshaw Bunch, which focuses on life on the Oklahoma ranch with Terry, his wife Tammy, his two daughters Rachel and Erin, and stepdaughter, Lacey (Tammy’s daughter from a previous marriage.) The platinum-blonde crew offers an inside look into their day-to-day activities, as well as their close bond. Lacey makes a point to say, “Having Terry Bradshaw as your dad is crazy,” in the trailer for the show.

Considering Terry Bradshaw’s various jobs over the years, he’s lived an interesting life. Notably, Bradshaw played his entire career – all 14 years – with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s known for having one of the strongest arms in the history of the game. Unfortunately, an elbow injury ended his career, and Bradshaw retired following the 1983 season. As a man of many talents, Terry is also a musician. His most recent country song, “Quarantine Crazy,” was released in April. The twangy, upbeat tune documents his feelings about being in lockdown, or as Terry sings, “another day or two might break me…I’m going quarantine crazy.”

Terry took his singing talent to the main stage on The Masked Singer season one. In episode 3, he was told to take off his deer mask. Terry received criticism following his elimination after commenting he was “kicked off by Alan Thicke and the little short guy from Japan,” referring to Thicke’s son, Robin, and actor Ken Jeong. He later apologized in a comment to USA Today saying, “I made an insensitive remark today about Ken, who I’ve known for some time. I’ve spoken to him about the importance of cultural respect and apologized for my offensive comments. I would like to also apologize to the Asian-American community for my insensitivity.”

It’s clear Bradshaw’s remarks didn’t have an impact on his career. Since his appearance on The Masked Singer in 2019, Bradshaw has continued his work in Hollywood and elsewhere, including on The Bradshaw Bunch, which premiered last month. Viewers can tune in there to see what’s next for Terry Bradshaw and his family.
