Two decades before the CW brought the Vera sisters to television, there were the Halliwells. The original Charmed saw the three sisters learn they were from a long line of witches — and were actually the most powerful witches in the world once they came into their own magic. They struggled against everything from changing timelines to a whole lot of unlucky relationships while trying to maintain the balance of good and evil in the world.

Over the course of eight magic-filled seasons, the characters showed off their wildly contrasting personalities. Everyone had traits that match up with a particular zodiac sign. Which Charmed character is most like yours?

12 Aries: Billie

Billie is a decent witch, but the trouble is that she doesn’t have the patience to learn the craft to the best of her ability. She tends to jump to conclusions and take action before she truly knows what’s going on.

That’s why she’s definitely an Aries. Aries are the hotheads of the zodiac. While they’re incredibly heroic, willing to put themselves in the middle of any situation to save someone, they’re also very impulsive. Billie repeatedly goes after her sister without mastering the necessary spells or potions needed for the job.

11 Taurus: Daryl

A detective who learns the truth about the Halliwell sisters after being caught in one too many magical schemes, Daryl is not comfortable with the supernatural. But that doesn’t stop him from putting his own job at risk repeatedly to come to their aid.

Daryl is the definition of a Taurus. He’s steady, dependable, patient, and incredibly protective. He becomes friends with the Halliwells when his partner dates Prue, but he protects them from legal trouble for as long as he can.

10 Gemini: Penny

Penny is affectionately known as “Grams” by the Halliwell sisters. After their mother’s death, Penny raises Prue, Piper, and Phoebe, though she spends a long time keeping their family legacy a secret in order to protect them.

Always ready to face a new challenge, no matter the magic or complications involved, Penny is one of the show’s most fascinating characters. She can solve problems in the past, adapt to the future, or even hang around to give advice as a ghost. She’s one of the most flexible characters in the series, making her just like a Gemini.

9 Cancer: Leo

Leo originally enters the series as a handyman. He’s hired to fix several things around the Halliwell house before the sisters discover he’s actually a Whitelighter sent to protect them on their journey as witches.

Leo isn’t just a Whitelighter who imparts rules, has a strict training regimen, and then leaves his charges to fend for themselves; he cares deeply about the witches he has to protect. Leo might fall for Piper, but every time he loses one of the witches under his care, his heart breaks a little bit. The empathy he demonstrates over and over again is what makes him a Cancer.

8 Leo: Chris

Chris bursts onto the scene with cryptic messages for the Charmed Ones as he keeps an eye on baby Wyatt. As it turns out, he’s from the future — and Wyatt is actually his big brother.

Leos are often thought of as the life of the party, people who cut loose and have fun. Chris doesn’t exhibit those characteristics, but he does have the Leo confidence and need for attention. Chris spends the bulk of his time on the show trying to get his family to understand him and firmly believing that he’s always on the right path.

7 Virgo: Prue

As the eldest sibling and one with serious devotion to her family, some might peg Prue as a Capricorn. The series labels her a Scorpio. The truth, however, is that she’s most like a Virgo.

Prue is the planner of the sisters, often the one to come up with a plan of attack. It’s her job that keeps the family afloat when her younger sisters are struggling. Prue loses her focus when she doesn’t have specific goals to work toward, at her weakest when forced to improvise.

6 Libra: Coop

After a string of failed matches, Phoebe actually meets a Cupid. While she wants him to believe she’s given up on love completely, he becomes one of her best love interests in the series.

Coop certainly has the Libra charm, but there’s more to him than simply believing in love. He’s an idealist. Coop sees the best in people and wants others to see the possibilities as well.

5 Scorpio: Cole

Scorpios have a reputation for being one of the “bad signs” of the zodiac, but Cole doesn’t land as a Scorpio because he’s a villain. Scorpios go after what they want and they don’t let any obstacle slow them down. The audience sees this in Cole’s love for Phoebe.

Cole knows that keeping up his demon side, becoming the Source, and maintaining his evil following will all wreck his relationship with Phoebe. He doesn’t care. He still goes after her, trying to prove his love to her however he can.

4 Sagittarius: Paige

Paige joins the series after the death of Prue. The half-sister of the Halliwells, she knows nothing about witchcraft until her magic manifests when the sisters lose Prue. Paige doesn’t initially believe what she’s told about her sisters, but she keeps an open mind and starts to learn more about her new family.

Like any Sagittarius, Paige is honest to a fault. That can cause some friction between her and her sisters, but eventually, they find a way to click. Paige also has a bit of wanderlust. She doesn’t initially want to be tied down in the manor with her new sisters, but she realizes she can still pursue other opportunities while bonding with them.

3 Capricorn: Piper

Piper spends most of her life believing herself to be the middle sister. She plays peacemaker for Prue and Phoebe in most of their interactions, and her commitment to her family is unparalleled.

Piper also has plenty of that Capricorn ambition. Though she begins her time in the series as an employee at Quake, she works her way up, and even eventually runs her own club. Piper is somehow able to balance her sense of duty to her family, her job, and being a witch, though it does take its toll on her more than once in the series as she experiences the most tragedy as well.

2 Aquarius: Patty

The mother of the Charmed Ones, Patty actually appears in the series a lot more than fans might have initially thought. Though she dies when the sisters are young, her spirit appears several times throughout the show, and the sisters even time travel to the past to interact with her.

Despite there being a lot of rules in place for magic, Patty breaks a lot of them. She very much forges her own path as a witch, including having a relationship with a Whitelighter, just like her daughter would. Patty embodies the rebellious nature of the Aquarius.

1 Pisces: Phoebe

According to the in-show birthdays, Phoebe should be a Scorpio, which might be why the series has her butt heads with big sister Prue so much as they’re both technically the same sign. Phoebe, however, is more like the spiritually and emotionally-connected Pisces.

Phoebe is the first of the sisters to accept the idea that magic exists. She leaves herself open to the universe, which is part of the reason her powers manifest in premonitions and empathy. Even when Phoebe tries to close herself off to the world, she falls in love with an actual Cupid.
