Hypno can manipulate and hypnotize his enemies using its pendulum item and will eat its victims’ dreams with no hesitation. Since everyone in the Hidden Leaf Village depends on Naruto to watch over the entire village, having a Pokemon like this roam around wouldn’t make his life any easier.
8 WOULD WANT: Infernape Because It Can Hold Its Own In A Fight
A Pokémon that’d probably give some of the best anime martial artists a great training partner is Infernape. Although Naruto is a strong warrior capable of fending off threatening villains, having another Pokémon who loves fighting and protecting its trainers would make it easier on him.
Not only that but Boruto and Infernape can train together and develop a close bond, similarly to Kiba’s relationship with Akamaru. Naruto wouldn’t have to worry too much about Infernape, as Infernape’s Blaze ability will increase its firepower a lot when it’s weak.

5 WOULDN’T: Ditto Because It Wouldn’t Make For A Great Ally Like Zoroark
Ditto is a Normal-type Pokémon whose transformation powers may cause Naruto to avoid capturing it because of its imperfections. Despite its ability to copy its opponents’ looks and moves, some Ditto messes up when it comes to copying individuals’ faces.

Also, Ninetails can serve the purpose of being a great playmate for Naruto’s children and a protector for the Hidden Leaf Village. Even though Ninetails looks more majestic and approachable than Kurama, it has moves that can send any enemy of the Hidden Leaf running for their lives. Therefore, Naruto wouldn’t hesitate to capture one for himself.
3 WOULDN’T: Snorlax Because It’d Only Eat All His Ramen Supply Rather Than Be Useful
Although the Snorlax species tend to be friendly and make for a great bed on occasion, Naruto wouldn’t want this food-craving Pokémon on his team. Snorlax tends to eat a lot of food, and if Ash’s Snorlax is anything to go by, it’s that Snorlax would relax whenever it gets the chance rather than fight.
