‘The Seasons Change’ dates and times in Pokémon Go explained
The Seasons Change is a special timed research questline running as part of the Autumn event in Pokémon Go.
It’s important to note that while the Autumn event is running between Friday, 9th October and Monday, 12th October, the timed research questline, The Seasons Change will end on Tuesday, 20th October.
Since The Seasons Change is a timed research questline, you must complete it before Tuesday, 20th October, because, if you don’t, you’ll never be able to collect all of the rewards.
The Seasons Change consists of four quest steps, with you being rewarded for every challenge and overall steps that you complete. The shortness of this quest stems from how it’s a timed research challenge, so, unlike non-timed research quests like A Mega Discovery, it’s designed to be completed in a short time period.
Remember – you must complete The Season Changes before Tuesday, 20th October!

Elsewhere, we’ve recently seen new Ditto disguises as part of the Season of Alola, which also introduced An Akala Adventure and more Gen 7 Pokémon including Fomantis and Tapu Lele. Elsewhere, off the back of the Go Tour Johto event is Masterwork Research Apex to complete.
Everything else you need to know about the Autumn event in Pokémon Go
Aside from the Timed Research quest, there’s a selection of bonuses you can take advantage of throughout the Autumn event in Pokémon Go.
Firstly, the Gen 5 Pokémon Deerling and Sawsbuck are being released during the Autumn event.

There’s a higher chance of you receiving berries from spinning the Photo Discs at PokéStops and Gyms during the Autumn event. The berries you feed to your Buddy Pokémon will also be twice as effective and the catch candy you receive from Pinap Berries will be doubled.
You’ll also have a higher chance of encountering Autumn themed Pokémon throughout this event – both in the wild and from 5km eggs.
The Pokémon appearing frequently in wild are:
