Rune Factory 5 – the latest in the farming and fighting RPG series – will now allow fans to form same sex social connections, which can result in wedding bells.
Rune Factory 5 is an open-world game where you can grow crops, cook, craft, mine, fish and collect food while exploring dungeons and defeating monsters. Some monsters become your friend and can help you in your farming expeditions. You also build friendships and camaraderie with the other people in the town of Rigbarth. Those friendships can grow into something more and you can eventually marry your buddy. Previously, only male and female friendships could result in nuptials, however, not in Rune Factory’s new release. Rune Factory 5 is the first of the series to feature same sex marriage. A trailer was recently posted on the official Twitter account for Nintendo of America.
Rune Factory 5 will be released March 22, 2022 for Nintendo Switch and is not currently available for pre-order.
Rune Factory is a spinoff of the popular series – Story of Seasons. Story of Seasons – which was originally Harvest Moon – has been around for 25 years. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Marvelous – the game’s developer – recently announced news regarding two new games. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which was originally release for Switch in March of this year, will soon be available for PC via Steam. Additionally, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town will soon be released on PS4 and Xbox One. Originally released on Gameboy Advance on April 18, 2003, it was remastered and made available for Switch and PC last July.
In other news, Crusader Kings 3 fixed a mod allowed for same sex concubines that broke after an update. Crusader Kings 3 doesn’t allow for same-sex marriage or concubines un-modded, however, some fans were able to find a modded work around. However, the last update seemed to break this mod, but it was quickly fixed by developers.
Several mods have also recently been created in Mass Effect for Ashley and Kaiden. One mod is used to allow Ashley and Kaiden to be wooed by Shepard through unused dialogue in the game files.. You can choose if Shepard is male or female in Mass Effect.
