Sailor Moon and her fellow Sailor Scouts are extremely powerful, tackling some of the universe’s greatest threats. But the most powerful one is probably Sailor Saturn. Calling herself the “harbinger of death”, Sailor Saturn’s terrible power is called on as a last resort since she’s capable of annihilating entire planets. A single swing of her Silence Glaive can doom civilizations.

Pokémon blossomed into one of the most enduring facets of pop-culture over the past thirty years. Many thought it would fade away, but it’s shown its incredible longevity over the years, refreshing itself with imaginative new Pokémon and great games. If Sailor Saturn were to clash with Pokémon, which ones could she take on, and which ones would leave her in the dust?

10 Could Defeat: Eternatus

A Dragon/Poison-type Pokémon, Eternatus is the tallest Pokémon to exist. It can absorb energy and use that energy to transform into its Eternamax form, making it even more powerful. Eternatus in either form is extremely dangerous, but Sailor Saturn would be able to take it out.

Using Silence Wall, she can protect herself against just about all of Eternatus’s attacks. Even though it can absorb energy, that’s not going to help it very much much when she unleashes Silence Glaive Surprise and pretty much ends it with one hit.

9 Would Lose To: Alakazam

A Psychic-type, Alakazam is one of the smartest Pokémon. Its brain keeps growing in size throughout its life, fueling its amazing psychic skills. Physically weak, it uses its powers to hold itself up. Sailor Saturn is very deadly, but Alakazam’s psychic powers give it an edge.

While Saturn can protect herself from most assaults using her Silence Wall, she can’t protect herself from psychic attacks and that will cost her this battle. Alakazam can use its powers to muddle her mind, confusing her and preventing her from unleashing her deadly attacks, then hit her with powerful telekinetic strikes.

8 Could Defeat: Xerneas

A Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon, Xerneas is said to be able to grant eternal life. Though it has a variety of offensive options, none of them will help it against Sailor Saturn. While it can give eternal life, Sailor Saturn can kill planets. That’s way too much for Xerneas to compete with.

A Silence Wall would protect Sailor Saturn from Xerneas’s attacks and then she could hit it with the Death Reborn Revolution, which should be more than enough to defeat even Xerneas.

7 Would Lose To: Necrozma

A Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon, Necrozma can absorb light energy attacks and use the energy to become Ultra Necrozma. It can open Ultra Wormholes to travel to and fro and is very powerful. Sailor Saturn’s death based powers will give it nothing to absorb, but its psychic skills will give it an edge.

Necrozma can confuse Sailor Saturn with its psychic skills, which is its only hope since it can’t absorb her attacks. This would keep her from using her powers on it and allow it to pound her with its many attacks.

6 Could Defeat: Zekrom

A Dragon/Electric type Pokémon, Zekrom’s tail generates the massive electrical power it uses to attacks its foes and an anti-gravity field that allows it to fly. Its powerful lightning bolts have been known to annihilate entire kingdoms. That’s pretty impressive power, but as mentioned, Sailor Saturn can destroy planets. Entire planets.

Her Silence Wall would protect her from Zekrom’s massive electrical attacks and from there, it would be just about choosing what power she wanted to use to destroy it – the Silence Glaive Surprise, Death Reborn Revolution, or just hitting it with the Silence Glaive.

5 Would Lose To: Hatterene

A Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon, Hatterene is small but carries a lot of power. Its psychic powers are so strong that it causes headaches in beings around it and can sense the emotions of everyone within thirty miles. Its tentacles can be used to fire powerful energy blasts, and it has a Gigantamax form. Sailor Saturn doesn’t have a defense against its psychic might.

Hatterene would use its psychic powers to confuse Sailor Saturn, keeping her from using her deadly abilities against it and blast her with tentacle lasers until she went down.

4 Could Defeat: Yveltal

Yvetal is a Dark/Flying-type Legendary Pokémon. Yveltal absorbs the life energy of those it battles, using it against them. This affinity towards taking life makes its powers and Sailor Saturn’s similar, but Saturn would be able to protect herself against Yveltal.

With her Silence Wall up, she could stop Yveltal from draining her with its attacks and move in. Once in close, she could attack with her Silence Glaive and end Yveltal with one hit.

3 Would Lose To: Mew

A Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon, Mew contains the DNA of all Pokémon in its cells, allowing it to use any of their powers at will. Combine that with its formidable psychic skills and Mew is one of the most powerful Pokémon around, making it more than a match for Sailor Saturn.

Mew would use its psychic powers to mess with Saturn’s mind, keeping her from unleashing her death attacks and then go on the offensive with just about every other power that any Pokémon has. This would give Mew the win.

2 Could Defeat: Arceus

A Normal-type Mythical Pokémon, Arceus is said to be the creator of all things. It has some very impressive powers but against Sailor Saturn, impressive powers aren’t going to win the fight. Arceus is superlatively powerful but so is Saturn. The biggest difference between the two is that Saturn’s powers allow her to destroy just about anything with one hit.

Arceus may be a creator but Saturn is a destroyer. Arceus has access to psychic abilities, but nothing that will help it mess with Saturn’s mind and stop her from using her very destructive powers against it. One sweep of the Silence Glaive later and Saturn can say she destroyed one of the most powerful Pokémon of them all.

A Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon, Mewtwo was an attempt to recreate Mew in a lab. What resulted was a superlatively powerful Pokémon that would stop at nothing in its quest to destroy its enemies. Using its vast psychic power, it would be able to defeat Sailor Saturn.

Mewtwo’s mind-reading skill would allow it to see that Saturn was nothing to mess with. It would take drastic measures immediately and erase her mind, leaving her nothing more than a husk before telekinetically throwing her body into orbit, just to be safe.
