After six hilarious seasons of the Rose family navigating their way through a small town, Schitt’s Creek came to an end in 2020. Due to streaming, however, the series has picked up a plethora of new fans who want more David, Alexis, Moira, and Johnny.

With no reboot or spinoffs in the works as of this article’s publishing, fans have been going to YouTube and other forums to find deleted scenes from the series. Some were extended moments that didn’t necessarily need to be added to the final editing process while other clips were so perfect that fans wished they had seen them.

10 A Need For Snacks But The ‘Frontdesk Girl’ Was Busy With Their Son

By the looks of Moira and Johnny’s clothes and their exhausted state, this deleted scene appeared to be from ‘Hawaiian Night.’

In the scene, Moira and Johnny tiredly take off their shoes as they reminisced about the old days where their staff used to bring them food in their bedroom when they requested it. Moira asked Johnny who they could call to bring them a snack and Johnny sarcastically said, “Why don’t we ring up the front desk? Oh no, we can’t do that — she’s banging our son.” The hilarious dry moment seemed out of character for Johnny’s personality but he wasn’t wrong with the fact that Stevie was, in fact, with David and not at work.

9 Alexis Met Lisa!

Schitts Creek 10 Deleted Scenes That Should Have Made The Final Cut

After Ted and Alexis broke up, the two remained distant friends. But when Alexis needed money, Ted offered her a job as his receptionist. While at work, Alexis told Ted that a woman named Lisa called continuously about house calls for her cat. As it turned out, it was a code word for sex between Ted and Lisa. When fans rewatch the series, the signs were all there.

In the deleted scene, fans would have had the chance to meet Lisa because she went into the clinic to drop off some cookies for Ted. Alexis finally met her and put all the pieces together in her head. This scene would have been a fun one for fans to see because it showed Alexis being okay with whoever Ted dated.

8 The Laugh That Barely Escaped Moira’s Lips

In the first season, Johnny and Moira tried to sell the town and use the money as their ticket out of Schitt’s Creek. But in the deleted scene, viewers saw when Johnny and Moira found out that they couldn’t sell the town without the mayor’s approval.

Moira didn’t have the most helpful advice for Johnny at the time and instead laughed hysterically without making much movement in her face. In fact, her mouth barely opened! This Moira moment showed fans how talented she was at acting.

7 Moira Suggested Burning Down The Motel For Insurance Money

In a deleted scene from season 3, Moira came up with a plan for how to get money to leave Schitt’s Creek. She suggested doing what her character in Sunrise Bay did — burn down the motel and take the insurance money.

Although the Rosebud Motel didn’t always make sense and was not the most charming of motels, Johnny knew they couldn’t legally do something like that. He also respected Stevie’s connection to the motel. While the scene is short, it showed that even in season 3 Moira was still thinking of ways to get out of Schitt’s Creek, which was worth showing.

6 Gwen Was Helping Bob Cheat At Poker

Schitts Creek 10 Deleted Scenes That Should Have Made The Final Cut

In one scene, a few of the men and Ronnie gathered at Bob’s house for a Poker night. Bob had an amazing run on his hands that seemed too good to be true. With Bob’s wife Gwen in and out of the room with food, Johnny suggested that Gwen helped Bob cheat. Both Gwen and Bob denied the allegations and were hurt by Johnny. But in a deleted scene, it showed that Gwen really was helping Bob cheat! This would have been an underrated moment that the episode needed. It should have stayed in the final cut to justify Johnny’s presumptions.

5 Johnny & Stevie Vs. The Brothel

In ‘Rooms by the Hour,’ Johnny and Stevie met an escort, although Johnny didn’t realize it at first. She paid the motel a large chunk of money to rent rooms by the hour. At first, the duo accepted her offer, but they slowly realized their quaint motel could have become a makeshift brothel.

In what could have been a part of Stevie’s fantastic character arc, she denied Johnny’s plea to allow sex work in her motel. In the deleted scene, Johnny actually pleaded with her to allow a few escorts as a way to make ends meet. But Stevie denied his insistence. This small moment should have been kept in because it showed how Stevie was maturing and that she cared more about the motel than she let on.

4 “What Kind Of Breed Are You?”

At the end of season 1, David had a serious panic attack and didn’t know what was happening. With the hospital so far away, Stevie took him to the next best thing — the town’s vet. This was the viewer’s first introduction to Ted and one of David’s sadder moments.

In the deleted scene, David and Stevie are shown in the waiting room. Stevie helped David sign in, which was humorous because the medical questionnaire is typically for pets. The first question Stevie asked David was, “What breed are you?” It’s these small moments between Stevie and David that fans deserve to see.

3 Moira For Town Council!

Schitts Creek 10 Deleted Scenes That Should Have Made The Final Cut

At first, it didn’t make sense for Moira to run for town council, but it eventually added up because this meant that Moira had a say in the town. And since she had no choice but to live there, she may as well have some input.

In the deleted scene, fans would have had a chance to see the entire Rose family as they walked door to door begging for votes. Seeing the four as they tried to sell Moira to a townsperson is a moment that was stolen from fans.

2 A Fight Over The Chicago Bulls

Schitts Creek 10 Deleted Scenes That Should Have Made The Final Cut

There were many shocking details in Alexis’s backstory that there should be a spinoff on it. And another small moment from Alexis’ past was brought up in a deleted scene between Alexis, David, and Ted.

In the scene, David apologized to Ted about their failed trip to Chicago and told him a story about the last time Alexis was there. Alexis jumped off the bed and pushed David out of the room as David told Ted that Alexis was high and had “quite a time in the Chicago Bulls locker room.” Ted looked disturbed and Alexis looked embarrassed as she slammed the door in David’s face. It was another brother-sister moment that fans should have seen.

1 A Gift Basket From Ted

At the end of season 1, David ran away from Schitt’s Creek when he realized he had no true friends if he ever returned to New York. The image of the Roses finding him in the fields wearing all black, as an Amish woman worked beside him became an instant meme and one of the funniest scenes. In this deleted scene, however, it showed the Roses when they came home.

There was a gift basket with David’s name on it in his room. He assumed it was from his family but it was actually from Ted. The family fought over what they wanted from the basket as Ted begged Alexis not to dump him after such a nice gesture. Due to the importance of finding David, this scene should have stayed in.
