In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Emperor Palpatine unleashed Order 66, turning all of the Clone Troopers against their Jedi compatriots. This led to the wipeout of nearly all of the Jedi Order.

The strong Jedis that were wiped out were a great loss to the Order. Here are ten of the strongest Jedi that were wiped out by Order 66.

10 Ki Adi Mundi

Ki Adi Mundi was a member of the Cerean race, and a Jedi Master and member of the Jedi High Council all throughout the prequel trilogy. He also became a Jedi General of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, leading the Republic clone troopers in battles throughout the galaxy. During a mission of the Clone Wars on the planet Mygeeto, Order 66 was carried out, unbeknownst to Ki Aid Mundi until it was too late. As he was leading Commander Bacara and the Galactic Marines into battle, he was shot, overwhelmed, and killed.

9 Plo Koon

Plo Koon was a member of the Kel Dor race, and a Jedi Master and member of the Jedi High Council during the Clone Wars. At the time he was a High Jedi General and took part in many conflicts such as the Battle of Abregado and the Second Battle of Felucia. At the time of Order 66, he was leading a squadron of ARC-170 star fighters on the planet Cato Neimoidia doing a patrol flight when his own clones turned against him and killed him.

8 Aayla Secura

Aayla Secura was a Rutian (meaning blue skinned) member of the Twi’lek race, and was a Jedi Master who served as a Jedi General of the Grand Army of the Republic throughout the Clone Wars. She commanded the clone troopers of the 327th Star Corps and was aided by Commander CC-5052, nicknamed Bly. She was sent to the Outer Rim planet Felucia along with her clones after the Battle of Coruscant took place. Distracted and caught off guard, Secura was killed by her own troops after Emperor Palpatine commanded Order 66 be executed.

7 Stass Allie

Stass Allie was a member of the Tholothian race, and a Jedi Master. She was cousin to Adi Gallia, another Jedi Master who also served on the Jedi High Council. Allie herself was a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic, and gained a seat on the Jedi High Council following her cousin Adi Gallia’s death.

Allie was killed by Clone Commander CC-8826, known as Neyo, and the clone troopers of the 91st Mobile Reconnaisance Corps after Order 66 was executed, on the planet Saleucami in the Outer Rim while they were on speeder bikes patrolling the area.

6 Zett Jukassa

Zett Jukassa was only a Padawan before the ride of the Galactic Empire. Not long after the command to execute Order 66 was given, Jukassa was killed in battle by the clone troopers of the 501st Legion. He saw Senator Bail Organa of Alderaan trying to escape from the clone troopers on Coruscant, so he bravely fought off the clone troopers until he was slain. Fun fact: Zett Jukassa was played by none other than George Lucas’ real life adopted son, Jett Lucas, who acts as an inspiration to many of the aspects of the continuing Star Wars saga.

5 Sors Bandeam

Sors Bandeam was a Human Jedi enrolled in the Jedi Order’s Temple Academy along with numerous other younglings on Coruscant. During the execution of Order 66, many Jedi and clone troopers alike were fighting and dying all over the Jedi Temple. Feeling it unsafe, Bandeam and the other younglings remained in the High Council Chamber. Anakin Skywalker, now having become Darth Vader entered, and Bandeam and the others came out of hiding to ask him for help, unaware of his treachery. Vader then proceeded to slay them all due to Palpatine’s orders to kill all the Jedi, even the younglings.

4 Luminara Unduli

Luminara Unduli was a member of the Miralan race and was a Jedi Master. She was in charge of the 41st Elite Corps of the Grand Army of the Republic. During the end of the Clone Wars, she fought with Yoda during the battle of Kashyyyk. Once Order 66 was carried out, it was believed she had been shot and killed by her troops on Kashyyk, but she actually evaded this fate. She was taken into custody by the Empire after the Jedi Order was destroyed. She was imprisoned in the Spire on the planet Stygeon Prime, until she was later executed in her cell.

3 Depa Billiba

Depa Billiba was a Human Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council during the final years of the Jedi Order. During the Clone Wars, she took on a Padawan named Caleb Dume. The two of them, along with Commander Grey and their clone troopers, were fighting on the planet Kaller when Order 66 was executed. Billiba had had visions of the impending attack moments before, so she had enough time to warn her Padawan to run.

Shortly after this noble warning, she was killed by her clone troopers. However, Dume escaped, who later went into hiding under the name Kanan Jarrus, one of the main characters in the Star Wars Rebels animated series.

2 Huulik

Huulik was a member of the Rodian race and Jedi Knight who served as a general for the Grand Army of the Republic. After Darth Sidious’ command for the execution of Order 66, Hulk was shot by his own clone troopers like many other fellow Jedi. At first, his clones didn’t managed to actually kill him, as he managed to board his starship and record a message as he bled out. He then had his droid fly the ship to his homeworld of Rodia, where by the time it had gotten there he had already died of his injuries.

1 Tiplar

Tiplar was a yellow skinned member of the Mikkian race, and a Jedi Master who served as a Jedi General within the Grand Army of the Republic. Her and her twin sister Tiplee led a unit of clone troopers, with help from Clone Commander Doom. The three them collaborated with General Anakin Skywalker’s 501st Legion during a battle on the planet Ringo Vinda, when clone trooper Tup killed her after the execution of Order 66.
