Playing Brick Tamland, the weatherman, this iconic character is joyful, charismatic, and incredibly fun-loving. 9 The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005)

This movie is almost tied for comedic value with the prior one, but this role is inarguably one of Carell’s most iconic and memorable roles he’s ever played. This devastating and honest tale follows this father and son’s journey through addiction, survival, recovery, and relapse. It’s powerful, truthful, and simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking. Steve and Timothée both give brilliant performances, and this is definitely one you don’t want to miss. Just bring a box of tissues.
